an tx got no taxes :wow: nikkas will slurp off tim but get mad at bron
If I were Tim, I would ask to get that 80% clause like Kobe got, so most of his money would be state tax free. Otherwise, he'd have to pay the jock tax in cities that have it, which sucks. Only Texas, Tennessee, Florida, Washington and the District of Columbia don't have the tax

:ohhh: I totally forgot about the income tax in Texas

Wasn't he was considering retirement at the end of this season? Act like a 38yo players doesn't only have like 1-2 years of basketball left brehs.
Compare a plyer in his 17th season in the lague taking a paycut to help his team continue forward to prime all stars taking paycuts to leave their teams and join forces brehs :beli:
Be a hypocrite brehs :beli:
Media speculation. He shot it down. He's repeated that he'd keep playing for as long as he's healthy and effective.

Pat Riley has compared Duncan to Kareem in how they both aged and Kareem played nto his 40s

I'd imagine Tim will also get a job in the organization after retiring, further increasing his cash. He'll be fine.

But this is the type of selfless move that endears players to a city, state, fanbase, etc. And think about the example he's setting for Leonard.

And 5 rings. :stopitslime:

Learn, Melo. :stopitslime:

He made $21 million in salary alone in 2012

its easier to build when a player like Duncan is making 10 mill or less :comeon:. Imagine who the lakers would have gotten if kobe would have only taken 10 mil

@FAH1223 Check your facts breh.

@MsBigHead That's the whole point. Kobe's greedy ass doesn't give two shyts about building a team around him. Dude could have easily signed for ~$10 mil a year as Duncan has done for the past few seasons (and will continue to do). He already has more money than he could spend in 3 lifetimes even excluding his NBA earnings, and yet he insists on taking up 40% of his squad's salary cap on an annual basis. It's absurd.

Kobe and Melo will never go down this road.
