Why would the thread turn? Not like he's making $24 million next year, has hurt his own chances at winning with a terrible contract and he's not coming off a season in which he played 6 games :sas1:

He aint worth 24 million....that's why he's making what he's making while The Gawd is making what he's making:ufdup:

Kobe earned his contract coming off a 2013 season where he put up 27 pts, 6 rebs, 6 assts, and 1.4 stls on 46% FG and was the best SG in the NBA while being named All-NBA 1st Team. He got his worth:sas1:

Tim Duncan only put up 15 and 10.......and wasnt even a top 3 player at his position:sas2:

:patrice: Tough? Dallas never had a chance in that series, that shyt wasn't as close as it seemed. POrtland got absolutely raped, OKC didn't have ibaka after dominating them for most of the regular season and they got some lucky breaks in game 6. THey played well but I don't think this shyt happens again.

I mean sometimes it's all about shyt going your way or not. Big part of sports is luck

I wouldn't call it tough. This year was little more tougher than last yr but they struggled with an 8 seed(again), faced a young but overrated Blazers team and got lucky that Ibaka was hurt. Do they get passed the Thunder if he's healthy?? Not sure but I see them being good enough to get back to the Finals next yr...with a healthy OKC being there only real comp as of today.

With the way they were blowing out nikkas :patrice: including the two time defending champs

Ibaka came back and had OKC dominating them for two games but they still got blown out in Game 5 with him on the floor :patrice:

But OKC is SA's really only competition... If they would get rid of Brooks and Durant played in the post exclusively... they'd win the West every year with a system.

Kobe earned his contract coming off a 2013 season where he put up 27 pts, 6 rebs, 6 assts, and 1.4 stls on 46% FG and was easily the best SG in the NBA while being named All-NBA 1st Team. He got his worth:sas1:

Kobe's getting paid for what he did 1.5 years ago by the time Training Camp starts? :wtf:

The Lakers were idiotic to make that the first offer. They should have presented a 2 year $35 million deal and see if Kobe would take it.

You don't put 45% of your cap in one nikka. Not in this era of luxury tax penalties. I could understand why in 2010 because the luxury tax wasn't as big a deal for a team like the Lakers. And why Dallas always spent and it finally paid off in 2011.

Breh I don't put too much into margin of victory because there's times where teams are willing to concede certain games. Like I didn't make a big deal out of SA losing 4 and 5 at all versus okc.

Portland couldn't hit the tough shots they were making all season and they turned the ball over and let Tony Parker get practice jumpers for most of the series.

Dallas had no business being that competitive in the series and then of course the inevitable happened and they got raped in game 7. The games where dallas kept it within 5-7 points felt like 30 point games because the entire time SA had them on a string.

Miami just shyt the bed, flat out. Their effort for games 3 and 4 was terrible and at that point they gave the fukk up. Miami was a lot, lot better than how they played. Maybe they didn't have the motivation this year, who knows.

They easily could've been up 2-0 if LeCramp doesn't sit out game 1.

He aint worth 24 million like Kobe the Shooting Gawd:ohlawd:
An injured Kobe is not worth 24 mil but unlike Timmy Kobe has generated millions upon millions to his franchise while helping them a get multi billion dollar deal with Time Warner. Plus Kobe has generated millions upon millions for the NBA globaly and in the states. Reason you see all them Kobe stans on the road.

It remains to be seen if Kobe the player is worth the contract but Kobe before injury DEF earned that contract. As a Laker fan I was disappointed it wasn't for less, but I'm not mad at a black man getting money that he rightfully deserves. And he still took a what 9-10 million pay cut.

When did Kobe sign the contract?:sas1:

He signed it coming off a season where he was 1st Team All-NBA and averaged 27/6/6 on 46% FG:sas2:

He earned his contract on the floor.

Tim Duncan will never even be OFFERED 18+ million dollars a year again....he's not that good of a player for those type of numbers to be offered to him:camby:

I'm confused breh, you saying Kobe being first team all nba in 2013 & best @ the weakest position in the league is why he deserved that $24 million? But help me out, wasn't Tim Duncan also first team in 2013 :patrice:and unlike the broken down Bean he made an all-defensive team in 2013 as well :sas1:

Lakers bout to enter the dark ages thanks to Kobe breaking down and his contract.

All-time greats whose team falls off while they're still playing, where they make those at? Tim has made his team immune to draft picks and lottery finishes, Kobe? He did that in his prime :smugbiden:

Nope, they weren't equals, just like their careers, Tim was better.

You gonna forget the side of the ball where Kobe was a turnstyle? Of course you gonna forget that :dead:

By Malta/Wilt's replies over the years, I gotta crazy feeling that he doesn't really think to highly of Kobe.
