its amazing he was able to get wrecked at age 34 after an 82 games played (38 minutes a night) reg season with a grueling playoff schedule and do that.
just looking at his game log - dude played 39 minutes a piece in the final two regular seasons that season that meant absolutely nothing.

MJ was known to be a big time partier even during playoffs, regular season whatever. No matter what he was that game was extremely impressive.

But it is completely possible that MJ was hungover. Hell I think even Rodman mentioned at one point that Jordan partied as much as him but since he was a media darling they didn't cover it as much.
