I'll never watch another soccer game again brehs but my dude put in work. I feel bad for dude, reminds me of some of the 2000 Raven squads with the defense that does all it can but the offense can't even muster up a point. :to: waste of a phenomenal effort.

If that bald CAC plays another soccer game outside of some rec league shyt, someone should get fired and deported out of America. :birdman:

I mean I'm excited for Green and Yedlin and a few others, but the goalkeeping pipeline (or lack thereof) has me shook.

I don't think Guzan is ever going to be more than a #2, he's 29 already. Rimando is Howard's age and a non-factor.

As for the kids, you have Hamid (23), Johnson (25) and Cropper (21). The first two have had tryouts in the Premier League but weren't signed. Cropper is overseas but on the Southampton U-21 team. Johnson is the only one who's started a game with the senior team, shutting out Costa Rica last year in the Gold Cup -- not sure how many of those Costa Ricans are on their quarterfinal World Cup squad. Only 8 Americans are on both teams.

I know there's four years to figure it out but DAMN replacing Howard will be difficult.
Sean Johnson and Cropper has the best chance. I seen Guzan and I don't see international #1 option. He doesn't have that Friedel, Keller, or Howard effect.

I agree but who says Howard will retire... GK is the one position that you could be in your 40's and still do the job. Howard basically has sainthood in the USMNT and he could go on like Gianluigi Buffon. That wouldn't be practical because we have Cody Cropper, Sean Johnson and Bill Hamid(to name a few) in our pool that got next. Whose to say that Howard will give up the #1 and pass it to Guzan or anyone else?

Lebron would probably be the best option for goalie in 2018 world up

Before the World Cup, how many American soccer fans would recognize him?
He's on a well-known Premier League team, Everton F.C., which from an average American sports fan's point-of-view means "he's playing on some team in a league that David Beckham played in but that's not Manchester United". From an American soccer fan point-of-view, he made it into the show.
