I feel like Walz (very calm and relaxed) represents an older political climate, such as the late 90s and early 00s, when things in politics were not as extreme and crazy as they are today.

Kamala picked him because he was the safest choice for VP due to the fact, he's not prolific or polarizing, rather just there. Ironically, towards the end of her campaign, you'd forget he was even on the ticket.

That's how “boring” he was, not that it was a bad thing but, y'know, these days for better or worse, people love politics and politicians that entertain them, and Tim was just like the middle-aged man who goes to the library skimming the bookshelves 📚, spending his whole entire day there in a quiet section, closed off from others, reading books and sipping on coffee ☕.

I don't think he'd fare too well as a #1 on ticket going up against Trump or any of these other MAGA extremist types.

Hell, truth be told, quiet as kept, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was partially the reason Kamala lost, maybe people weren't so thrilled with him, that's a part of the story people don't talk about much.

The VP pick matters more than we think it does.

Walz was the one that came out calling MAGA weirdos and making Vance couch jokes. He had people thinking Dems were willing to fight back until consultants told him to chill.
