That's why he's the GOAT--could extend this debate to feature a whole host of other producers who he's heavily worked with in his career. Don't really see any other producers debate amongst themselves about any other rappers they've worked with like this.

I actually prefer Just Blaze’s Allure remix over the Neptunes’s version. Didn’t really care for the song until the remix came out

They've both given Jay Z some of his best and worst, but I got Timbaland.

I know people love "Allure" and have that as one of Jay's best, but I still feel "I Know" is peak Pharrell/Jay. "Excuse Me Miss" and "La La La" are dope as well. "Oceans" goes too, but it has additional production by Timbaland. The rest of the Pharrell productions on Jay Z albums, I could do without.

I wish they'd quit putting Pharrell and credit The Neptunes as a whole.
This one is one that I liked back then but it just hits different now. It might be my favorite from Jay/Pharrell. I’m def pulling it up more than Change clothes and excuse me miss.

They both have given far better work to other artist. Pharell gets alot of credit because he also would provide the hook work as well. Timbaland also has co producers. nikka Please was fire. Gotta Have It was fire. So Ambitious was fire. People prolly count "Frontin". Timbo clearly has the better joints tho. But neither of them have given Jay his best imo.

Nah. Love Clark Kent as a producer, but two joints ("Cashmere Thoughts" and "BK Finest"). Bink has the joints on Blueprint and Dynasty. Premo has "D'Evils", "Bring It On", "Friend or Foe". "Friend or Foe '98" m, ", "A Million And One Questions/Rhyme No More", "So Ghetto". I feel he has more legendary songs with Timbaland than Clark Kent, Premo, and Bink. Premo has more legendary tracks with Nas than Jay.

Just Blaze and Kanye? Yes. There's a case there. "PSA" and "Takeover" are just as big as any single Timbaland did for Jay and those songs were never really singles, but felt like it. They also produced some of Jay's biggest singles.
Just Blaze and Kanye its not just a case. It's what it is. They have FAR better music with Jay than Timbo and Pharrell.

Timbaland easily. Way more consistent track record.

Neptunes got a few great songs with him but for how much they worked together the batting average should be higher. A lot of their collabs are bland and forgettable.

Is That Your bytch was a Bleek single. Technically. lol. I’m talking about quality music tho. Not just singles. Just Blaze especially. Even with Singles I got, Song Cry, Girls Girls Girls, PSA, Show ‘Em What You Got, You Don’t Know. Etc etc.
