Those are valid points but just because there is criticism to something new doesn’t mean you don’t do it. You try, learn, break things and then fix. This is not about feelings. It’s about the future and where the music industry is headed. Get on the train or get left behind. It’s one thing to acknowledge history it’s another thing to see it play out the same way right in front on you (ie what happened to those previous genres of black music) and wait for those same labels to take over pushing that music with white AI avatars and no black ones or avenues for black ones. If we want to get ahead we need to get ahead and stay involved. Ducking our heads in the sand with something as monumental as AI is a death sentence, when it provides so much economic opportunity and creative freedom. If you think there aren’t kids making AI music and AI music videos right now you’re sadly mistaken. My point is we need to start marking our territory now and not wait till we are pushed out to then start screaming. It’s reactionary and not helpful.
