Don't know if it's her temperament, but Angela didn't look like she was feeling it at first.

She's definitely got talent, but the way Timbo was describing her, I was expecting some MJ/Prince shyt. At least maybe like Missy. But maybe he's excited because he sees her work ethic, process and maturity in the studio.

If looks mattered so much, how did Missy Elliott succeed in a Foxy Brown/Lil' Kim dominated Hip Hop scene? Not only did she succeed, but she was more successful than both of them. Her albums and singles were a bigger deal than theirs and she didn't have the sex appeal or the looks to fall back on.

Sure, times are different, but the looks argument isn't a very good one especially if you're saying females are going to be an artists largest pool of fans. You really think Nicki Minaj looks like she does to please females?
