Tim was backing a music pyramid scheme.

Yeah, people had music stolen:

These are unsigned artists, beat makers, and bedroom producers so you're not going to find court cases. Their music gets stolen and they probably don't have the money to fight it.

This is his super villain origin story.

He was getting 6 figures a beat at his apex. The placements stopped and that multi-million dollar income stopped. He can't even give beats away for free and make an album. No one cares about his music so he's forced to make an AI artist so he can "produce" something. If he was still eating he wouldn't be pushing this and all these other scams.

Even his Rhythm Roulette was a scam:mjlol:

FACTS!!

There's always some scam going on where artists and producers are getting ripped off behind the scenes by household name producers we know. It's been going on for a minute. But they know these people are gonna have a hard time fighting it or even getting people to believe it even happened. And they use social media to lure people into sending them their sh*t, knowing these creatives don’t have the protection they need to do that.

It's wild.

They don't use social media to lure anyone. People post their music all the time without copyrights or publishing. That's what made Soundclick what it was. And we can't act like big name producers weren't being ripped off and got. How many people were selling beats that sounded like our favorite producers. I remember Fruityloops came with a pre-loaded remade version of Aaliyah's "Try Again" instrumental.

Yes, aspiring producers get ripped because of naivety and not knowing the business or fully understanding the role of a producer. You never post music online without publishing or a way where you aren't retaining rights. Once you put it on the Internet, everybody has access and you will have no idea that it was used and you hear your beat on the radio.

The Internet, specifically Soundclick has helped producers get discovered, but I've yet to see any of them have longevity. 50 Cent discovered the beat for "I Get Money" on Apex's Soundclick page. Apex got credit, but nothing since that song. Johnny Juliano did the Game song featuring Drake, but nothing since. There lies the difference between making beats and being a producer.

Yeah Timbo is acting like he's entertaining a discussion for optics reasons, but his mind's been made up.
They full debate is like 4 hours long. I watched some of it but Timbo already clarified what it is. He didn't really disagree on anything and clarified his stance. After 20 mins it got kinda redundant

Timbaland career arc is quite something

You can argue he changed pop music forever and has a crazy catalog, but his elevator shaft drop in quality, output and overall presence is unlike anyone
