Timbaland along with Pharell is the reason why these pop acts felt comfortable slumbing into R&B which lead to alot of Black artists getting casted aside. Fukk that sell out sack of shyt

No it didn't. The A.I. thing may be a sell out move, but them producing white artists didn't lead to any Black artists being cast aside. That narrative needs to stop especially since they were producing Black artists before, during, and after. Missy's Under Construction and Jade's Girl Interrupted dropped the same month as Justin's solo debut. Timbaland helmed Brandy's Afrodisiac shortly after producing songs on Justin Timberlake's solo debut. He had more tracks on Afrodisiac than he had on the Justin album. Helmed LL's DEFinition the same year. This falls squarely on the consumer. If we want the artist to succeed, buy the music. We destroyed music specifically Black music by critiquing music we didn't even pay for.

This is about a bag to him

He and other types like Lupe clearly think this stuff will revolutionize and he wants in on the ground floor. No different than what Verzuz was for him. When you look at it like that it doesn't seem dumb, we'll just have to see if he's right or ends up looking stupid but he's all in on the shyt

Plus we're talking about somebody that doesn't own his catalogue anymore all that Aaliyah, Missy, Hov shyt he sold 100% back in 2019. 2025 Timbo does not give a fukk about artistry it's about bags
Same with Akon, people think he’s some musical genius when all he is is another scammer in the music business.

The man gave French Montana a fake watch and laughed about it

Why I don't respect it. Even here, he's still clout chasing and this "building with peers" doesn't even seem genuine because he's inserting memes and gifs as if this is a joke. This still promotion:

Nah I mean it's streaming culture so you're gonna see memes pop up on the page and shyt like that. That's how people's streams are set up. My issue is it didn't seem like he was really listening and Guru spoke a little too long at times.

Also what's your with his face, does he do drugs?

Timbo has a point, AI is programmed just like Synths are programmed but the fact you don't even need to know music or have taste at all to create isn't fair. He also didn't speak much about what he planned to do. We just heard an announcement that he is working on an AI artist named Tata but he is here arguing it's deeper than that.

Lmao the irony here is she is one of the people she is talking about. I mean she looks nice if you're an older gentleman, she got that aunty look about her cause she is probably in her 40's but she is good looking. However I went to her page and her music was mid lol

Timbaland is a joke at this point

Facts.

But he's been trash for a minute. He's basically in that chapter of his career, where he needs money, and will do whatever to get a bag. He was willing to exploit Aaliyah with the AI sh*t, and her family had to step in and kill that move. So this isn't somebody who cares about the art anymore. Nobody's paying top dollar in today's music economy for a Timbaland beat. So he needs to find other ways to sell out and get paid.

I've seen people push back on the "he needs money" thing but just comparing his behavior to other 90s/00s super producers tells me what I need to know. I never saw Just Blaze screaming and demanding major artists (with major label budgets) work with him. I didn't see Swizz getting mad at Jay for not working with him more. He's worked with Drake and Cole, and apparently did a track for DAMN that didn't make the album (Timbo has played snippets but who knows, could be bullshyt). But none of the big three seem to have a relationship with him right now. He couldn't get Nas to finish whatever they did a decade ago either. Then you add in the fukkery with Tink and it's been a decade of just...weirdo shyt.

You can hear the lawyer speak throughout the vid. He keeps saying that HE can't put other artist's music into the AI machine but what's left unsaid is that whatever company he works with can lol.

None of the other 90's producers were at the level of a Timbaland aside from Dr. Dre and The Neptunes. He was producing hige singles and huge albums, breakong new artists, redefining the careers of Pop stars and R&B stars, and MC's. Just Blaze isn't a 90's producer as he was more impactful during the 00's way more so than the 90's.

Once you reach that level of success, some people have trouble when its no longer there. Add to the fact that record execs told him in 2009 that he didn't have it anymore because producers like Dr. Like and RedOne had the juice. He lost himself and didn't rebound until 2013. Then after that run, he lost himself again and hasn't recovered. Nothing he's tried musically has caught on.

Jay and Tim didn't fall out over Jay not working with him. They were tight, but Jay missed Timbaland's 40th birthday and Tim missed Jay's, which started a rift. Then those BP3 songs leaked, which further parted them. They patched it up when Tim signed to Roc Nation in 2013. Things went sour again because Tim didn't have his business straight. One or two records from MCHG didn't have sample clearances which cost money. They settled out of court, but still.

He never had real relationships with the "Big 3". I don't recall him and Kendrick ever being cool. Drake and J. Cole were influenced by his music obviously and he's worked with both. J. Cole's "Amari" was Timbaland's last hit. J. Cole had been trying to work with Tim and even bit his drums and cited the influence. They never had a relationship.

Timbaland will probably never work with Drake because he dissed Drake recently.

Timbaland and Nas were working together in 2012-2016, but this was during the period where Nas was hesitant to drop new music. They were cool, but it was never anything beyond the music. It wasn't like the relationship he had with Salaam or Hit Boy besides once Nas moves on from something it's not like there's beef. He doesn't mention or hasn't been seen with Salaam in years and there were cool beyond the music.
