You guys are thinking artistically, as fans.

But unfortunately the BUSINESS is the business.

We've seen shades of this with the Gorillaz and some other group. And Daft Punk might as well be AI from a fan perspective

A couple have failed previously bc AI wasn't where it is now.

Point is, there's a whole group of young people being born who will know nothing but AI. All they will hear is music.

And now you will have an "artist" who does exactly what the producer wants, will not be asking about money, no ego, attitude etc. It's going to happen. Timb is just trying it first.

Let's be honest, the music biz execs wants artists to be robots/slaves. They just couldn't do it to the degree they want bc artists are human.
And we should all be thinking artistically, as fans. One of my least favorite things in message boards and online discourse the past 10 years is the growth of people saying "try to understand it from a business or corporate point of view." Like, yeah...I understand that point of view. But I hate that point of view lol.

I'm not calling YOU a bootlicker, but I think the proliferation of all the opinion pieces of "Yeah, but just think about it from WalMart or Amazon's perspective instead of thinking from a regular person's perspective" is a huge problem these days. It ends up promoting an environment where people just get more and more numb to corporate greed and abusive practices. It gets exhausting pointing out stuff that is fukked up, only to be met with a chorus of people saying "oh, but just look at it from the billionaire's position." Ugh. It's tiring.

Late stage capitalism 'race to the bottom' type shyt.

Edit: BTW I'm not so sure it's even good business. He's getting absolutely trashed in the comments and I really don't think the AI craze for music will take off as much as some people think it will.

and ive been listening to ai music more than actual artists these days. im tired of the same rap songs talking about the same shyt.

i go into one of my servers, ask it to make lyrics dissing my wife playfully, giving some her characteristics, then go into suno, paste the lyrics, and make up some prompt dark melodic uk drill or grime and bam. i got me a record. then make sure to blast that bytch while im showering to piss her off :dead:

the other day I had it create a song dissing trump in a funny manner over an afrobeat. in seconds i could have it do it over reggaeton. in fact i could create an entire playlist within a half an hour.
