Brooklyn isn't even the most popping borough in the city musically right now. That would be the Bronx with A-Boogie wit da Hoodie, Don Q, Snoopy Dinero, etc. Boogie has had the streets on fire for months and has co-signs from the biggest stars in rap, Don Q got the streets and was just on Meek and Fabolous' new mixtape, dude is legit one of the best young street lyricists to come out in a while. Their tapes got millions of plays. Nobody is popping like that citywide? This is literally all you hear in the streets, radio, clubs, parties in NY.

So Dave East wasn't just on the XXL cover, he didn't release a solid mixtape in Kairi Chanel, didn't just sign to Def Jam, songs like KD didn't get play in the streets?
M.A. got a top 20 single and shortie was just playing on that she can spit and makes a lot of more "traditional" NY music.
