Y'all give these coaches too many passes, how a coach with a horrible team and zero talent gets canned after 1-2 bad seasons (ehich meet relaitic expectations for the poor talent level) but a coach with loaded teams and tons of regular season success who can't get shyt (fails to meet expectations based on talent) done when it matters gets 6-9 years is retarded. This is going on season six for y'all, and while I know the falcons will probably finish at least 9-7, it's pretty clear mike smith is not the coach for your team.

Eh...Kinda hard to fire him now. He came along when Atlanta was shyt. Remember their coach just quitting on that team? Atlanta was not supposed to be so good so quickly. He has a great record and was a batted ball away from a Super Bowl Appearance. How do you fire a guy like that the second he has a poor season chalk full of injuries?

I don't think he's all that special, but he's not deserving of getting canned. Folk are too reactionary.

I don't know, it's not the most cut and dry, but some dudes you just gotta cut your losses and realize he's not taking your team any further (lovie smith) its great dude got them to where they are, but repeatedly he's shown he can't get them over that hump. If it was year four, i wouldn't advocate him being fired, but it's year six...still tons of football left so who knows how they'll do - esp with the julio blow/excuse - but I think six years is enough to tell if a coach with a regular season juggernaut can move the chains any further.

At the end of the game they would have been down 27-24 instead of 27-21

Since they ended up scoring scoring and making the game 27-28. That FG didn't matter

If they kicked the FG then they would have tied the game on their last drive instead of going for it on 4th down and eventually scoring the TD

They still would have had to stop the Jets from making a game winning FG
