Only thing Booker has over Klay is creating off the dribble, which is a pretty big deal but still doesn’t make up for everything else Klay has.

Klay by a thumb nail, because of his defense. The potential for Booker is greater though.

People who say Klay can't create his own shot are morons. When Curry was injured and missing games in the '16 playoffs, Klay was the primary scorer and had no problem doing just that. And we already know what he doing on defense.

This thread disrespectful, really. Booker's main asset is his shooting ability and he doesn't even do that better than Klay. fukk outta here.

The whole concept of the Warriors roster construction is that everyone on the team is a good passer. :gucci:

- Shooting off of screens
- Spot up jumpers
- Attacking close outs

Thus is how he is gets his points.

That 60 point game he had was notable because he only took like 11 dribbles :dahell:

Put it like this. If it's last possesion and you have no timeouts and can't advance it to half court, what happens to klay. Can you put it in his hand and tell him to take it the length of the court and get a shot. If the def need ls press him, he's smoked.

I(and rockets fans) know this cuz we had a similar situation with Kevin Martin. And martin had slightly better ball handling skills than klay but he couldn't create that offense in crunch time. He was two-dribble max guy. He was brought in to be the primary guy in Houston but didn't live up to expectations cuz when it was crunch time he couldn't get off good shots on his own l. That's why chuck Hayes was so vital to our offense and he got a couple of triple doubles there when Kmart was in Houston . He had to facilitate the offense cuz Kmart couldn't effectively (and consistently) create his own shot. Matter of fact, Kyle Lowry turned into Kyle Lowry the franchise guard indrecfly because of Kevin Martin. Kevin Martin couldn't create offense, so Kyle Lowry had to step up and boy did he. I dont think Lowry makes that ascension if Kevin Martin doesn't come to Houston.

Having a guard, or better yet a perimeter scorer, as your primary scorer who can't or struggles to create his own shot is a detriment to your team unless you run the beautiful offense system, or one like Boston or GSW. It makes it that much easier for the defense to gameplay against you. Look at what happened to Bradley Beal last night against Utah without John Wall. And I'm on record as saying Beal moved up to the second best sg in the league but he was pitiful last night. Look at Harrison Barnes as the primary scorer in Dallas. He struggles to shoot even 43% percent from the fieldbexause he can't create his own offense. Dallas is a sorry squad but do you know that their offensive rating is actually slightly better when Barnes is off the court. They're a better offense when he's not playing, and they have a great coach in Carlyle. How many other primary scorers around the league have it when their their teams offensive rating goes up when they're on the bench. Thats shot is pathetic and so are the Mavs cuz they invested in Harrison Barnes as their primary scorer. Even black hole Melo and Russell actually improve their teams offensive rating when they're on the floor.
