I really like the part near Morningside Park. What's your favorite part of Harlem? I like Hamilton Heights a lot
Hyde Park is basically just University of Chicago Campus at this point. Its mixed race and middle class to mansion elite. No one is at risk of being shot in Hyde Park anymore than the default (shyt can happen anywhere) status. We just know that Hyde Park isnt "cool" and shouldnt be on the list over other areas in Chicago. Hell, I'd put Wicker Park over Hyde Park for "cool".A lot of Chicago people in the comments on IG agree with you. But I noticed it’s mostly white folks saying you’ll get shot.
The area I stayed at in Chicago was cool. Wherever the Google office is. I was right across from it.
Yeah youtalkin bout west loop. I like west loop more than Hyde Park. They probably gave Hyde park props due the variety homes and amenities (museums, University of Chicago, lake front, a few restaurants, Obama library coming) etc. but Hyde park kinda ghetto at times especially as the sun starts to setA lot of Chicago people in the comments on IG agree with you. It's real nice of you want to be around a bunch of people that areCoral Gables is nice, but I wouldn’t call it cool.
.I know they were happy as shyt when I movedI hear you. Wicker park seems kinda dead though…I haven’t been through there recently but it looked like half the shops closed. I’d mention Ukrainian village but it seems too white. River north is cool. West loop is cool. Now that I think about it, Hyde park seems to be the most diverse in a way—houses, scenery, history, parks, low end and classy restaurants. The fact it's 20 mins from downtown makes it ridiculous as "cool" in itselfYeah youtalkin bout west loop. I like west loop more than Hyde Park. Lived there for a couple years. Nice as fukk, beautiful homes, but wouldn't consider it cool at all.Coral Gables is nice, but I wouldn’t call it cool.
Nope.As a Chicagoan…I wouldn’t put Hyde park up there…
As a non Chicagoan I thought wicker park was cool as hell. In fact I was just out there a week and a half ago and some fly as black owned spot (the delta)with some nice women in thereHyde Park is basically just University of Chicago Campus at this point. My thoughts exactly. "Cool" is an ambiguous term but I dont think most would confuse cg with that at all.. Nice neighborhood tho, I guess..Coral Gables is nice, but I wouldn’t call it cool.

Next time you come, check out "Machine Engineered Drink" another black-owned spot in Wicker. Drinks are great and it's a cool vibe for a date night. As a non Chicagoan I thought wicker park was cool as hell.
