I don't think he was saying women bucking against men was the reason for the marriage drop, but given that less women are getting married at exponential rates if your final goal is marriage that might not be the way to approach things

He hasn't demonstrated how "women fighting men" is the sole, primary or even a major cause for that drop. What does that even mean? There can be a million reasons why people aren't getting married as much as they used to. But when something sounds good brehs don't question it

The preacher’s POV is twofold.
(1) If you contain the qualities of a wife, the husband will find you. Same with the husband.
(2) If you understand yourself to be a wife, and not a long time girlfriend, there are certain things that you won’t accept b/c it is not aligned with your standard. Same with the husband.

Also, preachers speak on living a purpose driven life & being content in your singleness ALL THE DAMN TIME. It’s not fair that everyone is taking a 5 second clip as evidence that the minister was speaking condescendingly to women.
