the finest and most wifeable in the game. easily.

and the music is good. this song is pretty ill. shows off her range vocally, and the ending shows she CAN sing, despite what a lot of people constantly say on here.

In the music game only? If not, La La Vazquez trumps all

This girl is beautiful but this is what u nikkaz call r&B

seriously this is what we call r&B
especially on the female side?
Man I cant

I was in love when i heard her first tape
but her album and her recent songs are just :scust:

Whats worse...is nikkaz caping for this sht :scust:

Ima have to remind yall what R&B look like

These jhene trashkos and tinashes are :mjlol:

Well Tinashe got potential but these songs she puttin out aint it :ld:

She can sing if your wondering, she not Jhene no shade at Jhene

A
lot of people clump these Alt R&B chicks together because they're abstract and atmospheric when really there nothing a like. There productions, music styles and directions are completely different, .

You realize half her discography sounds old school right? It's part of style. She mixes experimental, pop and old school R&B. It's funny nikkas huff and puff we need to bring real R&B back........... but when a chick comes and actually does it, They prejudge her..........
Her fake R&B seems more realer than most these days . :sas2:

When the beat comes in, sounds 90's like

She's doing the Janet tribute at the BET.

Sounds like 80's Quiet storm

Sounds like late 90's Pop R&B

i really don't see the hype y'all with her music, at all. she's generic as they come :why:

and that damn complex magazine site had the nerve to even compare her to bein' as close to next janet jackson :mjlol:

meanwhile, janet just dropped a new track "no sleep" and it's miles and miles and miles and miles better than this "cold sweat" track of tinashe's :russ:

:blessed:

Do you know who Jimmy Jam is? He co wrote and Co produce Most of Janet music, with Terry Lewis, Her albums Velvet rope, Control, Rhythm Nation, including the the Janet you taking about right now

He co sign Tinashe way back.

She even been co sign by Stuart Matthewman of Sade.

do i know who jimmy jam is? that's like askin' do i know how to blink and talk at the same time :russ:

of course i know who he is :mjlol:

a lot of people get co signs but they still have to show and prove themselves. the entertainment business is just that, a "business" and in that business people are there to make money (connections are very important) and part of doin' so is by bein' promoted by this person and that person. sometimes it's true and sometimes it's not but at the end of the day, the more co signs, the better for the artist but it's still up to that artist to show and prove if they measure up to the promotion and hype

most of all them artists and producers are always tryin' to stay connect because guess what? it's all a business and they all try to make money because while they doin' somethin' they love, it's also how they make they livin' and if someone like jimmy jam (for as great and of a legend he and terry lewis are) if he promotes and hypes her up, then that might be money is his pockets because then maybe her camp and people will seek him out and get him to produce a couple of songs for her

they all workin' together :heh:
like i said, i ain't heard nothin' by this tinashe that seems to be some next level or even great music. nothin' has impressed me yet :yeshrug:

Exaggerating "'she's generic as they come" that obviously not true.cause she alt R&B artist.

Generic means basic stuff they play on the radio, but not only is she basic to you but "as they come". So your saying her topics, production, and concepts are generic as they come for R&B?

Bruh mixtape In Case We Die was love and apocalypse theme, Her 2nd mixtape was call Reverie means days dream the project was about raising awareness to politics. A lot of her songs have abstract, intro, bridges, and outro, but I guess this just "generic as they come" on urban radio.............. nikka you know you reach for mars with that.

There's a difference between disliking and just being bs... I don't have to like Rock music to acknowledge a Rock star is talent or different. Since your not impress I want you to name 5 female R&B singer, writer, producer, musician, and dancer?

But when people over exaggerate and clearly state lies that hard "she generic as they come" it has nothing to do with the music. You disslike Tinashe because a article compared her to Janet. you felt offend and now you want to dis llike her. You would like a generic R&B song on the radio before you like a quiet storm song by Tiinashe influence by Janet.

She has 5 projects worth of music available, 4 mixtapes and an album. How much more is there really to "show and prove" really? Anyone who has actually taken the time to listen to her discography knows that the generic tracks are a small minority and that she has proven over and over that she can write and create enjoyable music. Her singles so far for the mainstream audience unfortunately haven't reflected that, but that's the business I guess. For anyone who's paying attention, though shes more than proven herself as an artist. If that will translate into any real lasting mainstream success, who knows.

Exaggerating bruh

Her mixtape In Case We Die was love and apocalypse theme, yeah that very common and generic for R&B. Her 2nd mixtape was call Reverie means days dream the project was about raising awareness to politics. Cause you know all generic artist have a project base of substance A lot of her songs have abstract, intro, bridges, and outro, but I guess this just "generic as they come" on the radio.............. nikka you know you reach for mars with that.

There's a difference between disliking and just being bs... I don't have to like Rock music to acknowledge a Rock star is talent or different. Since your not impress I want you to name 5 female R&B singer, writer, producer, musician, and dancer?

:damn:

:dahell:
bruh, all i'm sayin' is i don't get the hype :russ:
so she can't be generic because she's "alt r&b artist"?lol :stopitslime:
it doesn't matter what type of artist an artist is, they can be generic or bland no matter what they lane is :umad:

i'll admit, i haven't checked out her music like that but from the little bit i've heard i ain't been impressed nor has it made me wanna go and check out more of her music :yeshrug:

and i think it was ridiculous to compare an up and comin' artists with no real hit records to a legend. tinashe ain't got no classic albums or ground breakin' albums or songs yet she's already compared to janet jackson? come on, bruh. this shyt is just ridiculous :mjlol:

and i won't impressed even before the article. like i said, i'd checked out a couple of songs posted here and none of them appealed to me :manny:

top 5 female r&b singer for the description you gave of a singer, writer, producer, musician and dancer? shyt, i can't think of one who's done it all as far as a combination of all of those attributes. it ain't none female r&b artist who done been on some "prince" type level of doin' it all in terms of all the attributes you listed and if you sayin' tinashe is on some "prince" shyt in terms of doin' it all such as singin', writin', producin', musician, and dancer, nikka please :heh:

i ain't seen tinashe play no instruments yet :mjpls:

only 1 female r&b artist i can think of that comes close to fittin' that description you talkin' bout is chaka khan but i don't think her "dancin" is what you talkin' bout in terms of actually dancin' and just not just jammin' on stage and her production credit comes in by way of bein' in the group rufus

but in that regard,

chaka khan
chaka khan
chaka khan
chaka khan
chaka khan

like i said before, i haven't checked for her music like that, no more than a song here and a song there here on this site and none of them have made me wanna check anymore of her music
i ain't sayin' the music horrible or trash or nothin, i'm just sayin' i don't see the hype she gets on here, that's all :manny:

It's funny I did the same for a while. Checked out a few songs here and there and thought she was complete trash for the longest time. I downloaded the In Case We Die and Reverie mixtapes one night and realized how wrong I was. I remember I posted in a thread somewhere on this forum calling her trash and I had to go back and post again saying that I take back my comments :russ:
