go behind the museum and hit on the wall there.
as a matter of fact.
you should be able to train there.
it was where i trained alone.
so just know It will not be a lot of visitors.
except possibly ivan the terrible but i am not sure if he is alive.
once he trounces you.
Plus rides by like some wicked wizard every dark cloudly to destroy and own you till you become strong enough to beat him is challenging enough on those courts alone.

so good luck...
he is a villain at Harold park too.
so beware of the legends up there.
who will beat you bad enough.
it puts you at the cross roads if you get serious.
or you get trounced so bad it makes you get serious.

Semi finalist :dead:

I was fourteen in my first men's draw tourney then tho.
in the first tournament they ever had for that specific park and courts from the luxury tenant condo building regency park.

I got to play and lost in both semi final because the other semi finalist defaulted and the crowd kinda was like let the kid play again.
it was great as kid just being a teen that day.

I learned what lowball tactics men used as a kid on a tennis court in tournament play more in loss.
so from then on I was a complete terror to anyone on any tennis court after that.
granted i just quit because i became a father. I was close to challenger court level play easy before i became a parent sixteen years ago.

I know from every hopefull pro in Chicago.
you were done done.
if you were not a pro with a real vibrant career.
Plus a child out of wedlock or multiple children out of wedlock.
trying to turn pro from challenger circuit tourneys.
you don't get to live all your dreams.

I know it used to be a high ranked guy on this board, he quit playing too.
who was that?

Will try the waist height thing, got a good racquet as far as I know ( boombaclat max 110 ). Schools and indoor facilities are closed to the public

I’m in Chicago and I play in Hyde park right off the lakeshore drive / 57th street exit by promontory point

:deadmanny::deadmanny::deadmanny: Did this nikka just type out Babolat as boombaclat??? :russ::russ::russ:

I'm dying here, nikka. You ain't cut out for tennis, just hang it up man.

regents park!?!!!!!

well first go to stagg field on cottage.
so you can play on a level court.
then if serious seek out group lessons from Hyde park athletic club on 47th.

see if Donald young is available for private lessons.

Either way help me beat these nikkas or foh, I’m not trying to be a pro. I just want to beat some regular mfs :stopitslime:

Lesson from Donald young might run him 250/hr no need for a beginner to do that

@Luck if you're all power you should be training your serve the most. You can easily win games off your serve against them. Get a hopper with 60 balls and go to the court and serve 4 hoppers worth. Two on each side. Twice a week minimum. Shouldnt take longer than 90 mins tops

Groundstroke instructions for a beginner would almost take too long to type out. I can try and find my youtube video of my serve. I may have deleted it.

That was my mindset the first few games but it was too hard to stay inbounds with the serve and i was very inconsistent .

The hopper is the thing you have in the background right? the electric ones are 2 racks

When i power serve the shyt goes over the fence unto the other courts :to:

Toss it high enough to make contact with your arm fully extended and make sure you snap your wrist down on contact

If you bend your knees low enough and swing fast enough the momentum from your swing should lift you off the ground naturally and you will have a better angle to swing down on the ball and get it into the box
