I'm moving to ___________ & really want to hit the ground running on networking and positive/productive activity.

Never been to "hang-y out-y." No, I'm not :pretentiouscoliuser: a misunderstood introvert. I'm just an impatient cermugent (:sadcam: dat spelling).

What r general go to's for meeting new folk?

Oh, :mjcry: I gotta move, then, start the job search :dontevenaskmehooowwww:

I'd usually say to learn the area and people through your job first as a starting point but.... yeah, you're definitely doing it the hard way.

Where you headed?

I did it last month when I moved from Columbus, Ohio to San Diego w/o knowing anyone in southern California. Just go for it and apply for jobs when you land ASAP. Also go out, explore and talk to the locals during your free time. Also be comfortable with yourself and you should be fine with talking to others.

Go to a coffee shop regularly in the mornings. Go to a bar regularly at night. Automatically you'll start meeting people this way. Join a Meetup group. Go to the local library and see what kind of events are out there. Volunteer someplace. Join a gym. Get a random job at a grocery store or a Subway or some shyt like that, even though it's shyt pay and wack it's a great way to meet folks.

Meetup.com and professional organizations

Low key Meetup.com is a GOAT dating site. So many eligible women with their guard down. I am really surprised at dudes complaining about not being able to eat in this day and age

1. I supposedly have a pending offer with a investment custodian in Irvine, CA. The recruiter contacted my Thursday stating the management like me and they are waiting for the rec to be approved before they can send me a offer. I still have interviews that i'm going to do until I have a final offer with a start date.
2. Live in a motel for a week and half until I found a place where I can do month to month rent.
3. See response #1 (month and a half of applying for jobs)
4. around 6-7K
5. Only took stuff that fitted in my car (used to live in a studio back in OH). Only thing that I shipped was my TV.
