Hope there's puddin' in the clink...
be cordial and keep to yourself. get a recording device or desk camera in case of anything. anytype of slick shyt or sterotypes they do report to hr and let them know u are apart of a black organization who will be in contact with them over the incidents (scare tactic), no drinks or poker or none of that you are there to get money not tap dance. cacs are passive aggressive and fake as hell, do not trust them or share work tips or anything from projects u will get finessed
1. If you're promised something, get it in writing. Asking to "get it in writing" is perceived by cacs as aggessive, so ask for an email or initiate an email to get the response in writing. Save everything.
2. Keep screenshots of Skype conversations with weird requests, baiting/inappropriate language or aggressive language. Make sure the time and date are visible. Trust me it'll come in handy. Some of these cacs are good for trying to set you up.
3. Try to keep an eye on other people's time or days off. The same people that abuse the system will be the quickest to throw you under the bus for any slight infractions.
4. As highlighted by the recent #metoo bs, cacs love to sleep with coworkers and subordinates. Once they claim someone they'll consider that woman off limits whether or not the relationship is current. Keep note of who's fukking who and avoid even looking like you're allowing a "taken" female to choose. Cacs will try to sabotage you for this. They hate that you're there already. They'd hate it more if you're fukking their women.
5. Keep things short and basic. Fake small talk and be boring. Don't become the one in the office cacs think they can speak slang to. That's a door for them to inch toward stereotyping you openly and crossing lines.
These are pretty damn good.

I work with them but I greet them all with the
and they get the point. I'm not comic relief nor a Steppin Fetchit nor the slang-mouthed street-smart "thug" lucky to have my job.
