Not true at all. Depends on the age of the people you're talking about and their background.

Obviously I'm speaking in generalities here breh. Of course some situations are unique. I'm just talking about in general. When I see a chick my first few thoughts aren't ever "I wonder what she does for a living and if she is financially stable" now, the financial parts might come into play if we were to get really serious, but in terms of girlfriend status not at all. However, a lot of the first few questions I get asks by females are, what do you do, where do you work etc. I'm not saying that couldn't just be small talk but trust someone making more money is going to be more alluring and attractive to them. If there are two equally beautiful girls with cool personalities, I don't care where either one of them works as long as it isn't porn just my opinions though, not saying I'm right in my assessments.

Sure that might be fine when you're young and just dating/fukking chicks. But if I'm looking for something long term/a wife, she has to have more going for her in the job/career department. Its not even really all that important what it is. For example, teachers dont make a lot of money but it can be a great career. Going to school is fine (up until a certain age), but straight unemployed or a dead end job with no goals?

I don't have a problem with a chick asking "what do you do". Shyt, cause imma be just as interested in what she does. And 90% of the time, its a conversation started anyway.

No you didn't, you said it depends on YOU building her up.

You never stated if she had a desire to be more than just a waitress. Also, no other male poster said that he would eventually want his SO to aspire to have more than a low paying job, they all said they don't care what she does, what she makes as long as she loves him.

No I don't want a six figure boo, I want a guy who is after what I'm after. A lifestyle where we're both comfortable and not living paycheck to paycheck. I have one of those. I have no idea what he makes (never even thought to ask and we've been together almost 2 years) but I know he's not worrying about paying his bills or being able to enjoy his life.

I'm almost 30 years old, too old to be waiting on someone to want more.

I disagree with this wholeheartedly. Within careers people maintain their characteristics. You don't get into a profession because of your character. You maintain that no matter what you do for a living, character is built based on life experiences. A teacher can be very very liberal, funny, free thinking and open minded, or they can be very close minded, analytical, conservative, nit picky and fierce. All you have to do is look around your own office to see different characters. All those within the same profession do not have the same character. Your character is what defines YOU. A Farmer and a doctor can have more in common than 2 doctors.

I feel you...I maintain my position however. CAN and COULD relate to everything and everybody, so yes, you have a point. I am simply speaking from my experience of IS and WAS...which is reality as far as I have experienced.

In that quote, I didn't state the character of a person would be tied to their career profession. I insinuated that their career choice would give a BIT of insight into their personality. At least from my experience it has.

Personality is one thing and character is another. A person can be shy(personality) and honest(character). While another person can be outgoing(personality) and honest(character).

A person's profession may give me a small glimpse into their personality, but not necessarily their character. That person's character is something I would need to find out over time.

It's great and all that you guys don't care how much a woman makes but if you want a long-term relationship that will lead to marriage or combining uour assets, you might want to start giving a damn when you think about that house you want to buy or those bills that need to get paid or that vacation you all want take and that wedding that needs to be paid for.
