For example if you say Cashier at McDonalds vs Law Student, right away you've now changed in the persons eyes, before they even got to meet you, get to know your character. It reminds me of the time i was doing an internship at the water department. It was my first day and I was in the bathroom washing my hands making small talk with this old guy. I asked him if he was an engineer too, he replied yeah.....Maintenance. He was the janitor.

I guess I sat in some dark room and came up with the term "network engineering"
