Titan fall not coming to ps4

I have no doubt that the game will continue to be marketed as an Xbox game. 100 million is not enough for a game that could overtake COD as the premier FPS franchise of next gen. Respawn knows this. No one is that blatantly straightforward like he was in his tweets following the news yesterday. The fact he even said the things he did was disturbing. For them not to even know about the deal is nuts to me.

The 1 year original timed exclusive made sense since MS was providing their servers and marketing assistance. EA funded the studio. I get the year exclusivity. It's clear they were working on porting to at least the 4. He also said out of his own mouth it was strictly for the first game in the series, not the franchise. They have control after this game. It's Mass Effect all over again. MS would have to pony up at least 350 million (MS investors would shyt on them for this). Modern Warfare on the PS3 sold 6 million (over 300 million in revenue).

Could? the game might be a fiscal flop nothing is promised for the game, zampella would be idiotic not to take secure marketing and finances over could be what if situation in 2015. ask epic about that they're eating really good because MS marketed their game if not shyt would have flopped like UT3 and that other off brand garbage. hit's aren't guaranteed , titan fall may be one but titan fall 2 very well might not. and no it's not CLEAR they were working on the ps4 ver where's the proof, do you have evidence or a playstation dk out in the wild? i think not. how the hell do you know they have control over this game, have you read their contract? who's publishing their next game, you seem to be talking out your ass with what if situations and hoping that titanfall 2 exist in 2016. hell zampella might not even be talking about titan fall in the first place. i doubt the long term exclusivity was much at all, MS most likely cut EA a publishing deal that they couldn't refuse. it's ME all over again? how Bioware was bought by EA and owned the IP , MS published the first game and offered EA the rights to the game down the line. who is buying respawn rights publishing from EA? sony?

So why you complaining then. Deals like this are what's needed for these new risky IPs to exist.

Without them you get the countless generic shooters we've been seeing for a couple years now.

That's fine. He probably did want to bring Titanfal to ps4 eventually.

That doesn't mean that "they were obviously working on a ps4 version" or that this was some type of bad deal behind his back.

I bet the deal has more to do with the availability of dedicated servers than some nefarious back room deals. They've been very clear that the game couldn't even have began development with dedicated servers being guaranteed. With Sony unable to guarantee them EA probably didnt want to put the money up of for an unproven game that would be 6-12 months old by the time it made it to ps4

The 1 year deal totally made sense and I see why they wanted to bring it to the PS4 but only after a year since MS hooked them up. I get it. You also gotta remember whenever asked about a PS4 version, they always made the obligatory no comment, but didn't deny statement. It was pretty obvious it was coming to the 4 too.

MS locking up the game period was a great move/win and I'm sure EA loved the revenue by doing so. But even you have to admit that is pretty fukked up not to even let them know what was being negotiated without telling them. Esp for future partnerships. They already got screwed before by Activision.

I agree to an extent, but the risk with Respawn wasn't big at all.

You gotta remember that these are the guys behind not just Modern Warfare, but the original Medal Of Honor series (the GOOD games).

If I'm taking a chance investment wise, it's with someone proven. They have more than proved themselves with those aforementioned franchises.
