EA already got payed guaranteed money. The game being on ps4 would not guarantee them more money.

And what's lost in this entire idiotic conversation is that EA or Microsoft aren't guaranteed to have anything to do with TitanFall 2. Respawn owns the IP and they ultimately decide what happens with it. They may not even go with EA as a publisher for the next game.
It's not that simple.
Think about development costs, server maintenance, advertising, ect.
Microsoft foot the bill for all of that. This is/was a very low risk, high reward deal for EA.

I know Respawn gave EA the rights to the first game, but they have control going forward. Zampella already said the sequels will be on the PS4 at least (dunno about the 3).
