This number is way exaggerated and so is the word "hates". Nearly everyone that played COD4 and MW2 from the days loved that game. Most people that dislike the current state of COD dislike the fact that it's been annualized for no particularly good reason and the magic that West and Zamepella had is gone. But Titanfall is West and Zampella's new game and it's easy to see why there's hype. Titanfall is a bigger update to the COD formula than any COD since Modern Warfare. People don't hate COD, they dislike what it has become.
