16 max is better for these types of games.

These types of games? since you played titanfall...what kind of game is it?


Anyway...I hope the game has a rank system....a real one...not that cod exp bullshyt. I want a skill based system where players are matched up based on their ranks so games can be competitive as fukk. I'm tired of these games where you see a team of players ranked between 1-10 playing a team of players ranked between 1-50...shyt is stupid. If they plan on using a exp system, use it only for unlocking shyt.

what game with small to mid-sized maps does 8v8? certainly not Halo or COD, those do 4v4 on those types of maps....BF4 does 5v5 on it's small/mid-sized maps. Maybe killzone? lol.

Why would you want to force an 8v8 on small maps? for the sake of screaming "omg next gen"...or do u really think that much fukkery makes sense on those maps? I don't.

Metal Gear Online had 8v8. The maps weren't that big.

Y'all have to keep in mind that all players will have their own titan and each titan has an automatic rocket launcher holding hundreds of rockets.

12, 30 foot tall robots shooting damn there unlimited rockets at the same time. With 12 on foot soldiers that can fight in or out of the titans, and bunches of A.I. Soldiers running around. Almost sounds too busy no matter what the size of the levels is

Metal Gear isn't an FPS game. Metal Gear is a 3rd person tactical espionage game aka slow paced. You know how how retarded Gears Of War (3rd person/fast pace) would be with 8v8 because of it's pace and those maps?

You have to look at things like that. You can't just throw any size number of players on a map and think it's going to work. You have to look at the pace of the game, the weapons/powerups/abilities/etc available to players and how they dictate the pace of the game. It's called balance, the same word one of the developers of this game used when explaining why they went the 6v6 route.

This game is not Battlefield. Don't confuse every game with ADS and sprint to be Battlefield or COD and don't expect them to play and look just like those two games. This is TitanFall and it's going to have it's own identity....a 6v6 shooter with mechs.

Yeah MGS is a stealth/action game.
Its the type of game that would encourage the use of snipers, but would limit the amount of ammo you get

This game, well. You see those commercials for PS4, which they stole from COD commercials where you see regular ppl engaging in a war?
Well Titanfall will actually play like those commercials.
Every shot is like a Drew Brees Pass in an NFL commercial. Thats how its gonna be in this game

12-player headcount in matches of Titanfall is the sweet spot for the game, the title's lead designer tells Polygon. Any less and things threaten to get boring. Any more and the game becomes so intense it's off-putting.

But that doesn't mean matches will be limited to teams of six running around trying to take one another out. Each map also supports up to 12 AI-controlled characters per side and each of a match's six player-controlled characters can, in theory, have a Titan following them like over-protective, weaponized pets.

So counting AI, counting players and counting Titans in guard or follow mode, a match can feature nearly 50 characters trying to kill one another.

"The higher the player count, the more uncomfortable the game gets," he said. "Unlike in most games where you can sit there and guard the two ways in, in Titanfall the guy can come in through the window right behind you, he can come from the window to your left, he can come from straight ahead, he can come in from the stairway and he can come in from the doorway, or whatever. Essentially there are five directions you can get killed from and the higher that player count, the more likely you are to get killed from behind and the more difficult it is to kind of manage your surroundings."

Because the AI are a different class of solider than people, they are easier to kill, and I dont think they have titans. You can even hack the AI of the other team to fight on your side with the hack knife. They serve a different purpose.
