I agree, but i think people were always bytchmade, only difference is social media gives everyone a platform. Lot of people used to complain in the late 90s early 2000s about over sexualized music vids, hip hop glorification of misogyny violence drugs, violence in video games, etc but now people with those mindsets have a more powerful voice due to the hive mind, the power of likes and retweets is real. It creates communities where these like minded people can find the next thing to blow up on and be offended about.

Think about it....remember the Simpsons had the episode where Marge got Itchy and Scratchy to go PG by doing picket sign protests. Now the picket sign protest is much easier since you can do it from your couch by tapping a button on your screen.

Many people experience a lot of painful things,does that mean we should censor everything? Why stop at rape? How about murder as well? Why stop at murder either?

Should comedians not be allowed to make jokes about dark subjects as well because it might offend a person that has been through a dark situation that might be joked about?

I get it, but a huge part of their dev goals is to make this look as realistic as possible. If it was some mythical creatures or aliens or even just a less realistic art style it wouldn't feel the same.
