TLOU2 Factions officially cancelled

This one bums me out. I really, really, enjoyed Factions. All I wanted for MP was an updated Factions with TLoU 2 gameplay and some extra modes, new maps, weapons etc… then they said the game is bigger than they expected, got me even more hyped, only to see now we get nada. So disappointed. Here’s to hopefully just a Factions mode for Part 3.

I’m still looking forward to the No Return mode next month.

I haven't commented because frankly, I don't care. However I'm confused. They said that the scope of their ambition meant that they needed the whole team to keep working on the game.

I guarantee that what the fans of factions wanted was a no frills multiplayer mode. Not a GAAS. Some dodgy BS is afoot at Naughty Dog.

It's gonna be a colorful puppet game where you play as the forgotten cereal that rolls under the fridge. You're setting yourself up for disappointment if you havent caught onto the multiplayer mandates that Sony is putting on its studios and what they're asking for.

I still think what ND was working on was a factions similar to arc raiders and these clowns at Bungie convinced Sony to kill it because it was a conflict of interest

We're in the best timeline.

Arc Raiders is a slightly better concept since you can do more with that PvE versus infected, and ND is better off not being locked down to a live service game.

All these guys had to do was basically copy and paste the same multiplayer from the first game.

Just include the newer movement/controllers
Add maps from the 2nd game
Maybe include clickers into the multiplayer
Maybe add a co op mode rogue lite mode

killed that shyt so they could drop soulless-looking trash like Marathon. if anything, bungie should've partnered with ND to improve on the OG factions shortcomings.

But what made bungie the gods of MP? They shot themselves in the foot with Destiny 2
