That's how it is right now, it wasn't like that before. The ratio of good threads to the endless threads that you go on to describe so well was a lot better in the past than it is today

Maybe the ratio was better then, I really don't remember that clearly to be honest. I guess the point is there always been a dynamic between good and shytty posts.

I do think that closed registration has lowered the number of participants so that new good posters can't come in to contribute. Yes, it would open it up to shytty posters and aliases, but let's be real, that's already the case and it really wouldn't be the Coli without some shytty posters who have a million aliases

The whole site really is in need of a upgrade. I notice that the moment I started back posting some time ago after years. Banning posters I get that but when registration is closed it proves to be far more detrimental if you kicking people out and not bringing ppl in. You even got members in their own goofiness trying to report posts on member when they reply to something old to get the flow going . Site got all types of errors and glitches.

From the music section to uploading Avis at the actual size and not having to reset anything to the 500 internal Error when posting articles or uploading pics. Threads staying on the front page for hours with no new replies given the time length I mentioned.

But of course ppl more focus on handing out warning points cause posters may bump a post when shyt was popping to get the shyt flowing. Or like I said someone wants to play "hall monitor" and run to report someone on here about unnecessary shyt. (If you that type that do that on some snitch shyt eat a bowl of em).

The meek have inherited the coli. All the real headcases used to at least be be entertaining, but now the biggest names here are nothing but negative narcissists. The creativity is gone and now we're left with nothing but stupid meme and misery shyt from the outside. No more room for any discourse anymore either thanks to soft feelings and cancel culture. Basically we've fallen way to millennialism.

Regardless, I don't think it's a totally lost cause either and there still aren't many other places on the net that allow black folks to get things off their chests while at the same time having some good laughs and the best custom smilies to boot. Though I will say that it does seem to be drifting further and further away from preserving "the culture" every year though which is sad.

I once remember coming in here in 2020 and every thread on the first page of TLR was a political thread. It was due to the impeding Presidential election. It was slightly less bad last year, but that's not saying a lot.
