OP one thing I can sorta piggy back off your point and say is that I really do feel like the Trayvon Martin case kind of re-invigorated a lot the racial discourse in both America and on this forum.

We are nowhere near as....agressive as I'd like us to be....but people are clearly more enlightened than they were say 2 years ago.

Ultimately, Zimmerman walked, barely any laws were changed, whites for the most part dug in their heels and continue down their predictable racist track....but a lot of black eyes were opened by that shyt. You could say that we got a nikka Re-Wake-Up Call.

Calling attention to Trayvon is a very good point and something I actually hadn't considered. The obviousness of the injustice, the way it played out on social media and the fact that a lot of more naive individuals thought things would play out differently resulted in a lot of disillusionment.

Don't know why it dissapoints me that so many people actually bought in to post-racial America in the first place.

I've noticed. But since Coli Militancy has evolved from serious discussions to a trend and is getting so over the top that it will soon be meme status, people are going to post race topics for replies, daps, and reps. No point in moving every race topic to the Race Track. Since everyone wants to be more pro black than the next poster, trolling is actually down, despite the fact that some of the content is still just as stupid. I've realized over the past few weeks this is a very young board age wise. It seems a lot of people are having that moment as a black person when you realize that they JUST DON'T LIKE YOU and some are not taking it too well. Coupled with pro blackness being the new thing around here it leads to a lot of these race threads. The sentiment doesn't seem very genuine though because unlike the summer of 2012 no one is complaining. No one is uncomfortable.
