OP one thing I can sorta piggy back off your point and say is that I really do feel like the Trayvon Martin case kind of re-invigorated a lot the racial discourse in both America and on this forum.

We are nowhere near as....aggressive as I'd like us to be....but people are clearly more enlightened than they were say 2 years ago.

Ultimately, Zimmerman walked, barely any laws were changed, whites for the most part dug in their heels and continued down their predictable racist track....but a lot of black eyes were opened by that shyt. You could say that we got a nikka Re-Wake-Up Call.

There are a lot of articles and the like out there discussing what "microagressions" are. The concept has grown quite a bit over the last 5 years.

Truthfully, I'm a little torn on how much attention the idea has gotten over the past couple of years. I personally think that these occurrences are what they have always been : Racism/Sexism/Homophobia/etc. Not sure how actually "useful" microaggression is as an actual *thing*. As @freddykruegeronapill alluded to....it seems like it's mostly used around white, "liberal", hipster, twitter activist circles.

If I'm going to pay for something at a store, and the clerk ask me if I'll be using cash or EBT card...I'm not labeling that shyt a "microaggression", it's racism.
