I think it needs to be more incorporated in the mandatory history courses. I learned more about black history in my American History class than I would in a month.

I started watching this doc by Spike Lee yesterday cause I had never seen it
Also a good independent film about brothers George & Jonathan Jackson titled "Black August"..There's 10 parts to it so its only about an hour but its a good watch

It's black history everyday for me... I don't do the skinning and grinning dancing thing.... I have lost a career for refusing to bow down to a white... I would rather be broke before I'm overly cordial to a white, I spit in the coffee and piss in the soap dispenser most mornings when I get to work and my quarterly bonuses are among the highest in the office because I'm good at what I do...

1st Black senator. In 1870, Hiram Rhodes Revels was sworn in as the first African American Senator. Since then, there have only been 5 Black Senators including now President, Barack Obama.
