i always felt donatello was black. i never could explain it, but he seemed black to me. ralph seemed like an east coast ethnic white - italian, irish, etc. mike seemed like a basic white cali surfer dude. leo seemed like a WASP

I guess we'll have to buy the comics to understand why they chose these forms. Their race is Mutant Turtles so it is interesting to see why Donnie(a mutant turtle) or Billy (a white boy) would use portable transracial hologram projectors. Cool concept but I'd like to know the context. Are they pretending to be Zacks cousins visiting from the east coast? Ralph always acted like an obnoxious NYC Italian, Leo acted like a younger less experienced version of Splinter, Mikey acted like a surfer boy from California. The only one I can see a case for acting black is Donnie. The story takes place in Angel Grove California so Mikey probably won't stand out too much
