Brian Elliott, editor of the Fighting Spirit Magazine in the UK, recently spoke with wrestlingnewssource.com about the Carter family reportedly looking to sell TNA. Here is what he had to say…

"The Carter family has been open to receiving offers for TNA for several months. There are a select number of business people on the inside to whom this has been made clear. You have to understand that it's not like the company is going to be listed on eBay; keeping the fact that they are open to selling TNA to a small number of potentially interested parties keeps the price that the Carters can get for it at a much higher level than if they went public that the company was for sale. If someone does make a bid, that information will then be leaked in certain quarters, in the hope of starting a bidding war that would raise the price further. Like with Fusient Media's attempted purchase of WCW, if someone comes in with a bid, we'll soon know about it."

Do you guys think TNA could become relevant if Viacom bought it and put some money into the thing?

EDIT: John Cena is not about to go over to Viacom and turn heel.

TNA is finished. Now a new wrestling company in TNA's timeslot?

A new wrestling company would get the same immediate irrational hatred from hardcore WWE fanboys that TNA has gotten and only penetrate into a small section of the wrestling fanbase that doesn't love Vince's product.
Just like TNA.

Just like TNA.

More than enough moderate fans existed that gave TNA a fair shot. Joe-Angle in the cage did 60k buys. They'd give a new company a shot

Regarding the rumors of TNA being up for sale, here is the latest update. Talk of a potential sale of the company has actually been going on for months now, but has picked up to the point that things are said to be at a significant stage right now.

There are serious talks behind-the-scenes currently that TNA may be sold in the near future. There is a key potential buyer that has been looking at the company lately, with representatives for the potential new owners visiting the TNA offices regularly lately.

LOL sad thing is, it really could have been a new and refreshing angle that could have bought some interest to the company...if they hadnt been doing the same damn stable take overangle every time they need a new storyline

They brought all these scrubs into Aces and 8's and that's when I couldn't take those dudes seriously. They should have just kept some of them in masks the whole time.

yeah man - even with the struggle storyline...just having talented guys in the group would have made it tolerable. They had Bully, D-Von, D-Lo Brown, Tazz, Garrett Bischoff, Mike Knox, Ken Anderson and Festus.
