ROH was a dead brand. I know because I was following it. I went to the NJPW/ROH show at MSG and that was the last hurrah. Their parent company didn't want to spend money and they couldn't land a quality TV deal.
We agree and yeah, you were following closer

Why was it a dead brand? Why did that show fall apart, and what was the original plan when they booked it? Be honest.

I'm not replying to a clipped up post. I said a lot more in my post so retry and then I will engage. I'm not doing the goalpost moving that people do.

We ready to get to this? Sinclair went through a failed merger with Tribune after they bought up a bunch RSNs which had them carrying a lot of debt, ended up filing for bankruptcy and remember they never put ROH on any of the RSNs and during COVID they shut down completely.

Those are the real major reasons why Sinclair was having a fire sale, not some made up stuff about how they lost the Young Bucks who went off to be a part of AEW.

First of all, a lot of you say the Young Bucks aren't "draws" and they suck (which is fine, I'm not a fan either) so losing them somehow crippled the company? No, the reasons are laid out in my opening sentences.

AEW Stans: Treat us like real competition E-Drones

Also AEW Stans: We're just trying to be an alternative why are you so mean to us? 😢

The duality of marks. :wow:

WWE leadership is either extremely paranoid or not as confident in their on-screen product to be going into overdrive with counterprogramming and trying to get their puppet promotion (TNA) to oppose AEW presumably on USA Network (it's a dead network anyways).

Also Sinclair's fault that the contracts for everyone that started AEW expired at the same damn time.

And it wouldn't have mattered because they were already going out of business. Sinclair was in bankruptcy. :mjlol: But they were supposed to keep a little tiny wrestling company going while they are facing bankruptcy?

I was asked to be honest and this is as honest as it gets.

This is the real story here. WWE is going out of their way to counteract AEW TV & PPVs.

Watch them drag out Mean Mark Callous in the Impact Zone to go head-to-head against Max Caster's 5 minute challenge :lolbron:

And AEW killed New Japan. Karma is a bytch.

New Japan was cancelled by AXS tv (owned by TNA’s parent company)-December 27, 2024
TNA and WWE announce official partnership- January 16, 2025

Surely it’s the company giving NJPW its only American televised exposure and stacked their American shows in Chicago and Ontario,CA with their talent
