Your average wrestling fan didn't know who AJ Styles was in 2002. He's on some bullshyt.
How many more of your AVERAGE wrestling fans knew him in 2014 when he left? It's millions of casuals out there who think Kurt Angle retired in 2006

That's how you make someone a star geniusIt's a fact? What did they do to make him a star other than put him on their TV shows at the time when the company was at the peak of its popularity by hiring every ex WWF/WCW big name in the industry to try to stay afloat?
That's not star-making, if it was, Styles would have took those guys place and kept TNA at that level.
BTW smarks are by and large the majority of TNA's viewing audience for most of its run.
, if they don't have tv time then they won't become famous. TNA's peak was 06-09 and he was a focal point well before that, so they didn't just put him on at their peak. Did you even watch TNA or are you just throwing out random bullshyt? That's how you make someone a star genius, if they don't have tv time then they won't become famous. You're missing the point.AJ Styles (WCW/ROH)
Christopher Daniels (ROH)
Samoa Joe (ROH)
Christian Cage (WWE)
EC3 (WWE)
Lashley (WWE)
Wolves (.....................)
AJ been a star since at least 05 when he was positioned and presented that way by TNA. Stop the
There's enough legit criticism of TNA without needing to make up lies.
AJ Styles was a virtual nobody when he first signed with TNA in 2002, they made him into a star which is how he was able to make ridiculous money after he left and wrestled overseas.
Y'all really want to rewrite history, AJ was not famous during the early 00s. Kiwi was more known than Styles during the final WCW daysPeople that still watched WCW in 2001 (more than whoever watched TNA) knew AJ Styles. AJ also was in ROH concurrently with TNA for years.

They're truly rebuilding the company and trying to make it profitable. Changing the name isn't rebranding.
I know most people think what they're doing is wrong, but it's not. They want a new roster and are going to build new stars. The Hardys are great, but why pay that much for them when you can get cheaper stars who are, quite frankly, better wrestlers? Yes, they may be bigger draws now, but you have to look at tomorrow. You can build stars with weekly television.
What about Bobby RhodeTNA has never created a "homegrown" talent into anything that could resemble a star, as far as I can remember. "Star" doesnt have to be someone on the level of Cena, but it should be someone who can main event and carry your company and draw money.
That's basically what they need to do if they ever want to draw more than 300k viewers, and I've never seen proof they can do it.
To be Fair. Wwe didn't make him a Star ether. He was already one B4 he got there. They just gave him a bigger PlatformAJ is a star now, he wasn't then. All TNA did was give them a national platform, but they didn't creatively turn them into stars. Everyone knows TNA dropped the ball with them. If they had become stars in TNA, they would have never peaced out.
You should probably grab this DVD and do your research thenHere I was thinking TNA had him in the midcard in the X division for years and years. I must have been dreaming about him being Kurt Angle sidekick wearing the burger king crown. Or the time where he had on the turkey suit. He was in the main event as a star!
I wouldn't call Samoa Joe a star. More like "known".AJ Styles
Christopher Daniels
Samoa Joe
Christian Cage
EC3
Lashley
Wolves
Come on brehWhat stars have ever been built by TNA?
TNA turned Indy stars into main stream stars. Joe had AMAZING matches in ROH,but let's not act like his stuff with Kurt wasn't the shyt that made people look at him. AJ would be midcard status right now if it wasn't for TNA. Even during ROH peak he wasn't doing no real promos. The triple threat match the had in 2005? With Joe and Daniels was when people was like woah. Plus the stuff he did towards the end of his TNA run was good entertainment wise. I can go on for days.
