Still haven't touched Cyberpunk and won't for another year at the minimum. People sort of fell for the bait on that one, in that CD Projekt Red released the Witcher 2 and 3 in a very shytty state, similar to Cyberpunk and they fixed them up years later. So when the show became popular, people were playing Witcher 3 in its best state, not it's launch state, which made me quit the game on release until they fixed it. They likely wanted to delay the release of Cyberpunk further but they were getting death threats and pressure from fans and their publisher to push it out to release, so the current state of Cyberpunk is what the fans got. I will wait for them to add the promised DLCs and release a complete edition before I touch it. You know they have another Witcher game coming soon, lets hope they don't make their previous mistakes again.
It's around the perfect time to get into it, you have Fanatec with a reasonably priced direct drive wheel, and thrustmaster is also releasing one soon. VR is improving, Sony has their next VR headset coming out, and I'm expecting that to be top notch when paired with Gran Turismo 7. If not this year, the next year or two will be the sweetspot, newcomers are essentially spoiled at this point. My boy just bought a new rig, the sim racing world is dope asf, might look into it myself. I follow a few channels and looks a great way to have fun and de stress
I got back into it in the pandemic. I stopped previously around 06-07. Work and college were too much for me to play often. Completely missed the ps3/360 generation and most of the ps4/Xbox one generation. Still have a ps4 and see little reason to grab a 5, at least until the end of this year.

The consumers definitely play a part but a lot of publishers and their shareholders are killing games, they probably couldn't fathom pushing Cyberpunk back a year when they were seeing the most engagement any of their games have ever got, especially considering there was likely a point where Cyberpunk was more popular than their best title, Witcher 3. So they decided to pull the trigger and cashout on initial sales, things like that ruin reputations, you would think businessmen would put stock into that but I guess quarterly portfolios are more important.I should have read the red flags when the game kept getting pushed back, the devs were trolling about memes and posing on Twitter like their shyt was hot shyt, and the main focal point being Keanu Reeves. Like when you see a celebrity being hyped up being apart of a video game....Deaaaad Giveaway!

Breh I remember building a gaming rig many years ago and it was some revolutionary shyt. Games running at alarming speeds with dope graphics, it was the bees knees. Yet after awhile, that shyt seems like for them birds because its always a rat race. Then there's the chip shortage which was a big pain in the ass as well. Wife was talking about "Why don't you build another PC". I'm like
shyt is grueling out in these streets especially if you a gamer.
On another note, Elite Dangerous is crack rocks. Shame the expansion that came out was unfinished butt![]()
I'ma keep it a buck. The PS3/360 era was the last time gaming was the shyt. The blockbuster games, the experience of playing online with your brehs versus how it was in the PS2 days, and the indie games hitting milestones. It was like the last time gaming meant something on the level of revolutionary. Its not the same in these times because companies are doing the most, instead of actually doing something different. It's getting to the point where a shyt load of people bought Elden Ring despite the game having the difficulty of "fukk you and your opps".
At this point, you better off with the PS4 and just cloud gaming it because this industry is on some shyt.

but I only got a PS2 once PS3s were already out, and never even seen a real PS3.
to commit to getting good at a complex game nowadaysOdyssey DLC is good now breh, I had little Issues anyway but its running well now, space port interiors etc are sooooo dope. You play Elite much? I'm in fukkin love with it man it sets my imagination on fire lol

You not coming back for Starfield in November? I remember seeing your steam profile back in the day. You were just collecting them shyts.I was super into video games for a very long time. I used to heavily post in the arcadium. Maybe like 3 years ago, I stopped enjoying them. I don't really know why, but they just weren't fun anymore. The last game I played was RDR2 on PC, which was great. Once the new Elder Scrolls comes back, I'm probably going to built a new high-end gaming computer, but other than that or a new GTA, I'm not sure I have any interest. I like open-world games with a good story, so if one comes up, I'll probably pick it up. I have no interest in other types of games. I don't like action games for action-sake, I don't like racing games, I don't like fighting games, etc., etc.
I think people sometimes just have changes in interests. I moved on from spending a lot of gaming, to spending a lot on high-end audio, which is a much better hobby for me (although much more expensive).
