To be honest, I doubt we'll ever see another player on the level of Kobe/lebron/mj

A healthy russel westbrook has the potential to be on Kobe level at least. He's got the killer instinct, scoring ablility and athleticsm. If he can develop a more complete offensive game and overall Basketball IQ then:manny:. Same thing goes for Rose and KD..... although I cant see KD ever getting a selfish killer instinct like Kobe or becoming an all around player like Lebron:patrice:

The criteria was set for you.......you're just choosing to by pass it:ufdup:

He said winning scoring titles, all while making defensive 1st team. What other wing player in the NBA is doing that/Has done that besides LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and Michael Jordan in the last 28 years? Who else on the wing is being named All-NBA 1st team AND All-Defensive 1st Team in the same years.....consistently?

:lupe:
you're asking questions about players that may not even exist/be in the NBA yet. All I'm saying is let time pass and we probably WILL get another MJ/Kobe/Lebron.

Breh, to answer my own question, in all-time NBA history.......the only wing players to ever win multiple scoring titles AND be a multiple All-Defense 1st team member are Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James.

It's only been a decade since Jordan retired and we already got two nikkas that YOU mentioned in the same breath as him. What makes you think that trend won't continue breh?

:ld:
Because its been 10 years since we seen Lebron, and we dont have a player drafted since 2003 thats even close to what I described.

Lmao, I like how you clowns act like all kobe has is a killer instict. Westbrook kobe level? Lmao. Kobe has shut down scoring champs before, in fact he even shut down westbrook himself in the playoffs at one point. A-1 DEFENSE IS REQUIRED TO MEET THE CRITERIA
They'll be a couple in next years draft..
LMAO, what? A couple, as in theres gonna be a handful of players in next years draft on the level of kobe mj and lebron? Care to name them?

LOL no. Kobe in his prime is a 32/6/5 player with 1st team defensive abilities and almost no offensive weaknesses. Russy is good but he's not seeing that.

We will see talent comparable to those guys though. It's inevitable.

Wiggins is the closest we will get to Bron, but even then, he's nowhere near as brolic as Bron is. I thought Shabazz was gonna be like Kobe.

he's only averaged 30 or more 3 times in 17 seasons. It cost him a chance to 4peat the 1st time, and afforded him two 1st round exits the other times. Kobe's prime numbers are 27/6/6. Whether playing with shaq or gasol/bynum. That's when he smartened up and stop playing as selfishly. Unfortunately he didn't realize that he should be playing like this until his defensive abilities began fading, closing his window as quickly as it opened.

Trollin down the river I see.

I count prime Kobe as 2006 and 2007 ie ages 27-28 where most players are in their primes. And yes he was a 32/6/5 player in those years.

Prime isnt just being atnletic ad fukk. I think 2008 was the year when Kobe became more of a leader and he improved his IQ that year as well. The Lakers were the best team in the West even before the Gasol trade

agree to disagree, but despite those numbers, those we're not his best/peak seasons of overall play.
