For real though, I've been realizin how much of a mental jux the black American population has been trained through so many means to hate their own heritage and it's sad as f*ck. Being Nigerian/African/West Indian it saddens me to see this denial of greatness.
I don't know...when I was younger I used to feel someway about it...but the older I get I've just fully appreciated my African roots and background and essence. They're ain't nobody that look like me or us. I feel like I've been blessed or something for real. They hate cause they can't understand and they envy us and they've been told lies about us. I smile in the face of a hater son. Maybe it's cause of my strong family ties and whatnot but I got respect for myself and other black folks across the diaspora and that translates to respect to people for all. I see the reality of how generations of blinders have made us lost but to take them off is to achieve true knowledge and wisdom of humanity for real.

You gotta remember that after a few generations, the slaves were completely cut off from knowing Africa and were "Americanized". Looking "African" was a slight to the fresh off the boat slaves who didn't know what the hell was going on or how to pick cotton and tobacco. Its just sad that black people still haven't woken up.

Yo for real though...it's like Africans in America or anywhere else are pushed towards feeling "ashamed" almost of their origins and where they came from like everything in the great white west is just...better just cause.
I have more pride in my African heritage than anything American anymore...shyt this is a b*stard country with no real identity. The African continent is thousands of years old and is rich with people and identity. That outsiders have tried to destroy out of jealously.
It made me wonder personally how strong the black person/man/woman must have to be to have so many concentrated attempts to destroy their identity. It seems like no matter what...it just can't be done...but the powers that be will try anyways.
