To nobodys surprise, China is exploiting the H1B situation for its own gain.

Money is what attracts people to America. If China creates a school to job pipeline that pays comparably accounting for cost of living standards of the West they may have a way to attract top talent.

Part of the equation but also there is a social aspect where diversity helps the pipeline. This is where certain European countries or a Canada that has cities they can point to as "tolerant" see an advantage.

the cost of living is cheap, and their cities are futuristic and new. I am pretty sure they aren't struggling to attract foreigners. Didn't they even have a chocolate city in Guangdong? They have a grip of russians there too. I could see more and more americans moving there. I mean many are moving to mexico city right now. and chinese cities shyt on mexico city

Agreed. That's why I think it starts in the schools. You flood Africa, Eastern Europe and Asia with scholarships for undergrad and post grad. If even 5% stay behind, you're building a base that you can point to as developing a "multicultual identity" in select cities. Even if 90% of China never even sees those cities lol.

And we know China is willing to play the long game.

People been saying this for decades at this point, I'm still not convinced. Just cause their business isn't on front street like here in the states don't mean they're doing as well as people like to purport.
Both India and China are sitting on ticking timebombs. With so many people competing for fewer and fewer jobs. What happens when the rest of the world refuses to keep taking them in?
