No flashlight up the pooper, but they definitely do a visual check of your turd cutter. I've been through a few jails, with Santa Rita being the worst when it came to this. They lined about a fifty to a hundred of us up, all naked along the walls of a gymnasium sized room and had us bending over and coughing. Probably the worst experience I had while being locked up lol
