The days of pressuring couples to get married have kind of died out for a lot of people. That's more of an 80s thing on back. Even when there is a kid involved people are still not putting the pressure on. It's like y'all say up here most marriages fail so why would someone pressure you to get married?
Now if you are religious or very traditional and modest than they will.
I can't think of one person that's family that would pressure me to get married.
How many parents these days are telling their 18 yr old daughter who got pregnant to marry their baby daddy so they won't shame or embarrass the fam?

omfg, yes. Especially since I'm a female. My cousin is the same age as me and he said he doesn't want to get married or have kids and no one says anything but when I say it, it's the end of the world and "I'm too young to know what I want to do with my life" or "I'll meet the right guy and change my mind".

When you put it like that, it makes it seem like a bad thing. That those things have become so common these days, that whereas back in the day it was pressure, today, it's just shrugged off.

Teens have always gotten pregnant. The frequency may be different but as far as marriages failing we are at an all time high.

My mother does pressure me, but I'm her only child and she's bored with her life. I know she'd complain if I did get married. I don't really care, I'm not really thinking about it right now. It's a huge step and if i get married, I would want to stay married. Although it's a different thing with women, we're supposed to strive for marriage and if we aint married after a certain age we Halle Berry crazy.
