To you Wiggins fans out there -- how you explain a 6'2 guard locking him up for three games?

Marcus Smart combine measurements: 6'2 w/o shoes, 6'3.25 in shoes 8'3 standing reach

That's decent size for a PG, not even elite :mjlol:

Now let's get to the video:

Now someone explain to me how this guy supposed to be a star at the next level with no handles and no heart?? :sas2:

This guy is the most overrated prospect in the history of basketball relative to his hype. Nikkas keep talking about his hops and the dude don't even have a signature dunk in competition. :childplease::childplease::childplease:

I know you Wiggins stans gonna run from this thread to go elsewhere to talk about his 'ceiling' and defensive 'shutdown' potential, but this thread to be made.

Wiggins hasn't had a chance to develop offensively yet but the foundation is there. He'll get better through experience in that aspect of the game. For now he can get by with elite athleticism.

As far as defense goes...look at any of the premier wing defenders....usually lanky and play physical. Wiggins can do that already and if he gets beat off the dribble he can recover with his shot blocking ability.

Jabari looks like the sexier pick right away and will probably win ROY because its mostly awarded based on scoring. Wiggins just looks like the next elite all around player to me.

You realize the video posted includes all the one on one matchups versus Smart, right?
So ignore the fact that his team won 2 out of the 3 games and he dominated in one of those games? Smart was probably the best perimeter defender in college this year. Wiggins also has basicaly unlimited potential and is nowhere near the final product he will be.

You realize he dropped 30 on OSU in the first game they played this year right?
And oh yea, Wiggins put up those stats against OSU while being checked by Markel Brown... he measures a ripe 6'3.5 in shoes and weighs 184 pounds :rudy:

You dudes have to look inside the numbers. Watch the game. watch how cats get their points. Watch who's checking them. Watch which direction they drive. Watch the whole game and not just box scores.

I'm not watching box scores, i watched him all year. He's got elite athleticism, an NBA ready step back and is devastating in transition. You're talking about an 18 year old like he's a finished product and won't improve.

I'm challenging the fact you, and others, keep saying this guy has unlimited potential. No he doesn't. I don't even know where you get off saying that dumb sh*t. He's an average all around shooter and the guy has no post up game. Him being 19, its okay if he does't have a developed post up game, but IMO, the dude lacks the heart and desire to play below the free throw line. He essentially floated around the perimeter his whole freshman season while being the biggest guy on the court most games. This nikka ain't Durant. He don't have the outside game to create space for his drive at the next level. And he don't have the skill to back up your ridiculous claims.

Okay, I think something is getting lost in translation....

Me saying he isn't what you say he will be is not me calling the dude a bum. He's just not as good as you're making him out to be. Stop using the term 'unlimited potential' and maybe we can start to see where the other is coming from.

Who said he's Durant? and again you keep talking like who he is right now is who he's gonna be 5 years from now. Let him get in and NBA conditioning and weight program and let coaches work with him and get back at me in a couple years and see if he hasn't added the strength and moves needed to start eating dudes up on offense.

You seem mad and like you have an agenda anyways so i dunno why im arguing with you
