If this is the case, then I have some questions...

Black women have a choice whether they accept certain roles in film, right? If so, why do you think they would accept a role that depeicts them in a masculine role or role that depects them as lesbian?

Why do Hollywood executives want Black women to participate in these types of roles?

Do you think that Hollywood executives are promoting a new version of eugenics by doing this?

Just curious? :ohhh:
That’s a good question. But people don’t think about the race when it comes to their career.

That’s like asking why would a black man take a McDonalds job it makes all of us look like McDonalds workers . Sometimes you need work :yeshrug: :francis:

If your a actor in competitive Hollywood your not going to get the role of your life and read the final script and be like it’s too masculine I quit . For what ? They just going to get another black woman who would love to be a jurassic Park movie. People would think you lost your mind .

Why is Hollywood creating these roles ? Because Hollywood is interested in pushing their agenda of how they see the world and we must accept it as fact .

Black girl magic right :francis:
We can talk all this conspiracy talk and I agree with a lot of it but this is what it’s really about . Black women will sell out the race for media representation. Look at our president. Forget trump and blah blah . But our president Biden understood I WILL WIN if I put this awful black woman as my Vice President. And they ran out to the polls . They don’t care that they are being portrayed as masculine because they want media representation and they actually love this strong black woman image

Hollywood figured out a while ago that black representation in their movies isn't the same thing as representing black culture in movies.

Which is why you'll rarely see Male and Female black people having lead roles in the same film, unless it's produced by a black person like Tyler Perry or something. Or marketed specifically as a movie about black people like 12 years a slave or something.

Moreover they like to kill two birds with one stone when using black people as well. So often times if they have a gay person in the movie he'll be black, or in a relationship with a black person, or they'll have an interracial couple to hit that demo as well.

You'll rarely see a triple a/big budget film starring a straight black man who is in a relationship with a black women.

Well..

My thing is that Black actors/actresses have choices. They can either accept or reject certain roles. Granted, rejecting certain roles may temporarily slow down these individuals, but if promoting positive images on films is important to these individuals, then perhaps the temporary setback may be worth it.

Black actors/actresses can reach out to Tyler Perry or they can get together and start their own film production company. Not saying that it would be easy, but it is possible to put oneself in a situation that will allow these individuals to control their own narrative and images on film.

Lastly, you made a point that what one Black actor/actress won't do another one will do. That point illustrates the state in where the Black collective is standing, so...

What is more important? One's own agenda or the the agenda for the collective?

I hear you and agree but that’s a really unrealistic expectations. That ever black actresses in the world turn these roles down ? I wouldn’t even expect them to that . I’m not putting the blame on the actresses but Hollywood’s agenda :yeshrug: .

All humans are selfish regardless of race we are the only group where we are demonized for it but it’s still going to happen.

It is only unrealistic if you believe it is unrealistic.

But, to counter your point, Tyler Perry created his own production company. Tariq Nasheed also crested his own lane with his Hidden Colors films. So, if they can do it, then other Black people can do it.

Seems like people wanna take the easy route, but that route comes with a cost. One can't accept certain roles, then complain about the roles they accepted. Doesn't make sense!

Also, the Black collective doesn't have to support films that depict them in a negative light. Black people set the trends, so they have the power to influence change.

Bama ass DC
Yall nikkas love regurgitating insecure losers.
Idk shyt bout jurassic park or the sista they're talking about but i di know this
black women are the new it group in terms of gaining finances and they have their own finances for the first time and they spend money.
So knowing this a lot more things will be targeting towards black women and black women will be put in positions of power in their roles.
Black women support other black women like no other group and those who have the power to put them in roles or places know this and could give 2 fukks what some insecure incel version of the view on YouTube hmwho feel like masculinity is being threatened have to say.
And you can combine that with gay groups cause they support and bam.

I pointed this out in this thread.

Society wants Black Women to be more Masculine and Black Men to be more feminine.

Also peep the decreasing number of black male leads compared to the INCREASING black female leads in movies and shows.
This is facts. in white hollywood, there's only room for one diversity spot, and more often than not they're just gonna fill it with a black woman and call it a day. And then that black woman's love interest is white or something.

Black men are the afterthought now. Which is why we need our own shyt.

:yeshrug:It promotes white supremacy by upholding the white standard of beauty.

And white women don't want to feel threatened by black beauty. So Lupita's got to be the only one with a scar on her face in 355, otherwise white women may not buy tickets lol.
