I don't know about the date, summer 2005 this was out. I feel like it was simultaneous with Trap Or Die, ran the streets summer '05...

I just Wikipedia'd his discog, they say D2 was released September '06 and for a fact that ain't accurate, because I went to jail June 7, 2006 and ain't get out for 3½ years, and we were playing D2 in April, possibly March. For sure in April though...

Dedication was on the street around July/August '05 and D2 was on the street around March/April '06...

One of these days I'm gonna start a 2005 appreciation thread, some great music came out that year...

Dedication is classic though and has aged beautifully. So has D2, really Wayne in his prime from '04 to '11 can throw that legacy on the table with anyone...
Agreed.

2004 to 2011.

Greatest run in rap history :blessed:

The DJ Drama version was absolutely wack. They changed beats and everything:picard:.

But his the original 28-track double disc version is the classic:blessed:

Real ones remember downloading it from the Young Money website. It dropped in October 2005, months prior to that DJ Drama.

Young Money The Mixtape Vol 1 (Disc 1) Mixtape by Young Money, Lil Wayne

So many memories riding listening to this. "YM Hot Spitta" my all-time favorite era of Curren$y. We need Music To Fly To to be released!!!!!!!!!!

agree with everything but the last bit bout curren$y....spitta got soooo much better down the line

I definitely like the OG version of a lot of these better... Knuck if you Buck >>> Stilletos for example....that legendary compilation that had Wayne’s best verses from the Sqad Up and early Carter era mixtapes exclusively used the OG version instead of Drama’s
