I wouldn't say that... of course the NWO shyt was running its course by then, but this was right after Goldberg's hottest point and they still had a great undercard... this to me was actually where the slope got slippery and shyt never improved after this. It really fell apart rather fast as soon as '98 ended, coming off of Starrcade and into this dumb shyt. Next thing you know, every bad idea imaginable started happening.

really they were good for another year it went really bad when Bret got hurt
I thought I'd heard that the idea was having a heel factory to feed to Goldberg but he got injured and that derailed it. But I'd already quit watching by this point so I don't really know
that was a year later when they were gonna do a New NWO with Bret, Nash and Jarret as the leads but Goldberg punched a car window in a skit and tore his arm apart
Bret was gone
Goldberg was gone
Jeff also got hurt and it left nobody but Sid and Benoit for the tittle
than Benoit wins and shows up on Raw with all the best talent in wcw
and than Hogan walks out for good at bash at the beach 2000

I was in attendance for this. I was 10, so I didn’t really grasp what had just happened. I was just hyped when the Falcons came running to the ring to help Goldberg

This was all a ploy for Hogan to siphon the pops Wolfpac were getting. Back then they had totally eclipsed the whole NWO thing. It was all about the red and black. Nash was getting just as big as Goldberg at that point. Hoegan was hating

I never understood the hate that it got,was it stupid yes of course but it didn't kill WCW
Looking back yea WCW did a lot of stupid things but I still had so much fun watching it growing up
Growing up in the south WCW merchandise was everywhere even gas stations so that was always my favorite company
