5 Mics!
fukk a 4.5!
Didn't the source re-scored it again giving it 5.
that shyt don't count. They fukked up on a lot of records. Fear of a Black planet got 3.5 mics and it was easily one of the best albums of 1990 if not the best. Their reason for the 3.5 rating is that 3 of the songs were previously released and there weren't enough new songs with the songs we had heard and instrumental skits. And yes I still have the Source Magazine of that rating too

I have every source Magazine dating back to the 1990-2009(a few after that, but when that trap shyt started, I stopped buying).. I'm only missing the first 9 issues. XXL from beginning until about 2010, (a few after), all of VIBE from beginning, blaze, scratch, rap masters, elemental, rap sheet, rap pages, etc.. I knew back in the early 90s what we had was special and would save my shyts. That goes for Slam Magazine (from the beginning) and other horror mags as well. My wife didn't get it until she saw those Sothebys auctions and 58 issues of Rap Masters/Word up sell for $6800. Most of them that I own in great condition.

Would you ever sell it off or any of it?

Quest is a lying piece of shyt. He just released a book he wrote last year saying that when he heard this and 36 chambers, he had the feeling of "that's it?" and didn't buy into the hype. Now since it's the 30th anniversary and everyone has a story, he's acting like it was one of his favorite albums. I guess it's true that IG users don't read books. I hate that fat azz c00nin fukk.

You should write that in the comments?

I have doubles of a lot. The reason I'm skeptical of selling is that white people in the media buy up all of our historical artifacts, lock them away, and then change history before our eyes and our children and children's children will be taught lies going forward. Reminds me of that Richard Prior Egypt skit. They took rock'n'roll from us. Got rid of the blues, took techno and house from us, turned r&b into trap music and now all we got left is hip hop(or what's left of it). I don't want my child 30 years from now having to deal with a bunch of white people saying Eminem created hip hop.

I'm not that type of person to beef with celebrities on IG. I can't stand the man, but I respect him enough to not bring negativity to his space. Another mf I hate is MC Serch. I just let them live.. Cuz I'm the type of person that if I see you in the streets when you're talking shyt online, I'm gonna see what those hand skills are about face to face. And one legendary hip hop producer was talking shyt online to me for a while and I knew where he was going to be at recently, but decided not to go because I didn't want to fukk up my associates event.

I would love to see his response if any. It doesn’thave to be disrespectful. Just say "I thought you wrote that......"

that would be a good response  . And the book I'm talking about is the one listed below. It's a great book just as his other ones.

articles? Yes, the Source Issue that reviewed Doggystyle was the one with Cube on the cover I believe. it only got 4 mics(BS rating). I also have an OP of Doggystyle on vinyl and cd from high school. The original pressing vinyl sounds 10x better than the repress. The repress is just converted over to vinyl(not from the original tapes) and boosted the volume to the point it distorts. A trash ass record that no one should buy. It sounds terrible.
