You Manning stans need to let this go. Dudes over here talking about but but but if Peyton had BRady's dominant defenses as if the Pats defenses were doing what the Broncos just did :laff:

THE LIST OF TRUTH

Brady and Manning have identical regular season stats except Peyton has played longer.

Brady has never won while being as bad as Manning was during his two SB runs.

Brady has multiple 300+ yard SBs.

He won 32-29 shooutout where he throw 3 TDs and broke the SB completion record.

Just last year he completed a 10 point second half deficit against the same defense that obliterated Peyton the year before.

He threw for 4 TDs with no running game.

He is the only QB in NFL history with a winning record in games in which he throws 50 times or more. (So much for not carrying teams).

Tom Brady threw more TDs in last year's SB than Peyton has thrown in every SB he has been in COMBINED.

Peyton did not have to mount one gamewinning drive this entire playoffs.

There is literally no argument for Peyton. NONE.

If you say Peyton Manning is the GOAT you're literally a dikkrider.

You cannot be the GOAT when you're not even the greatest of your era.

Same defense when damn near the whole LOB had injuries that would have kept them out of any other game and they lost Avril mid game?(which is what spurred that comeback)

And as far as this other shyt, he's played better in other games and lost. The team that he took to the SB in 09 was largely in tact when they put up 2 wins when he got hurt, so I ain't really trying to hear this carried shyt.

Sure, in the regular season. But come playoff time, he was awful. Some of the worst, if not the worst stats ever posted by a SB winning QB.

Gotta factor in he had to go through 3 real good defenses to get there. Baltimore and Chicago were 1 and 2 that season I believe.

Football is the ultimate team sport, yes. That's why pretty much no other position except QB is judged on rings. But for some reason, QBs are considered the face of the franchise, most important position on the field, credited with W's and L's individually when no other position is. For instance, you very rarely see a stat like "Hines Ward was 2-1 in Super Bowls" but you damn sure see "Ben Roethlisberger is 2-1 in Super Bowls". You don't see "Darrelle Revis has a career winning % of such and such" but you know Tom Br*dy's. That's just how it goes. QB is the ONLY position that is held up in this way. Is it fair? Probably not. Would I like to see that change? I guess so, but true fans remember great defenses that win Super Bowls too.

Big Ben over the GOAT? Did I read that right?

You could argue guys having better peaks (like Rodgers) or careers (Montana) than Peyton and while I disagree with all of them I understand the argument, but Big fukking Ben?
Learn to read. I said "I would have no problems with someone making the case for Ben over Peyton." but did not say I would put him over Peyton.

your inability to understand metrics is still in full effect. It's pretty obvious you are a few cards short of a full deck so I'll let it slide.
Right

get back to me when your argument consists of more than an irrelevant chart and dumb statements without any evidence

I know what you typed. Having no problem with someone puting Ben > Peyton is ridiculous, there is a giant gap between them man

I've just always found it amusing how people have always tried to blame the Colts (and Broncos) playoff losses on the defense when Manning was there, acting like Manning did everything he could and performed amazingly in those losses, but that's just so far from the truth.

Let's just look at the losses that Manning has suffered in the playoffs. You know, the ones that were supposedly his defenses fault? I'm not going to address his wins because there's no need too, but will address the losses because people claim it was the Colt's (and Broncos) defenses fault.

2000: MIA 23, IND 17

17/34, 194 yds, 53.1% passing, 1 TD, 0 sacks, 82.0 rating.

2001: Missed the playoffs.

2002: NYJ 41, IND 0

14/31, 147 yds, 45.2% passing, 0 TD, 2 INT, 1 sack, 31.2 rating.

2003: NE 24, IND 14

23/47, 237 yds, 48.9% passing, 1 TD, 4 INT, 4 sacks, 35.5 rating.

2004: NE 20, IND 3

27/42, 238 yds, 64.3% passing, 0 TD, 1 INT, 1 sack, 69.3 rating.

2005: PIT 21, IND 18

22/38, 290 yds, 57.9% passing, 1 TD, 0 INT, 5 sacks, 90.9 rating.

2007: SD 28, IND 24

33/48, 402 yds, 66.8% passing, 3 TD, 2 IN, 0 sacks, 97.7 rating.

2008: SD 23, IND 17

25/42, 310 yds, 59.5% passing, 1 TD, 0 INT, 1 sack, 90.4 rating.

2009: NO 31, IND 17

31/45, 333 yds, 68.9% passing, 1 TD, 1 INT, 88.5 rating.

2010: NYJ 17, IND 16

18/26, 225 yds, 69.2%, 1 TD, 108.7 rating.

2012: BAL 38, DEN 35

28/43, 290 yards, 65.1%, 3 TD, 2 INT, 88.3 rating.

2013: SEA 43, DEN 8

34/49, 280 yards, 69.4%, 1 TD, 2 INT, 73.5 rating.

2014: IND 24, DEN 13

26/46, 211 yards, 56.5%, 1 TD, 75.5 rating.

I'm having a hard time understanding how it's the Colts defense's fault for Peyton Manning and the Colts offense putting up 17, 0, 14, 3, 18, 24, 17, 17, 16, 35, 8, and 13 points in all of Peyton Manning's playoff losses.

They scored 20 points TWICE in the playoff games Peyton Manning lost.......TWICE! That is beyond pathetic.:mjlol::mjlol:. I really don't want to do this right now as Peyton is riding into the sunset, but when clueless people post their absurd opinions, they need to be educated.:beli:.

So, please go with the excuses for Manning in the playoffs, as the only excuse for those losses was his inability to lead them to victory with all of the offensive weapons he had.

Statistics are really useless when you haven't actually watched the games. Also, only posted stats that seem to support your argument :camby:

True, Peyton has had some good games and some bad games. But looking at the stats and saying that his defense was never the problem is just :scust:
