Everyone likes to point the finger at hip hop because it’s an obvious and easy target.

But what folks won’t say is….

-The Black church is trash

-The Black political structure is trash

-Black Hollywood/Media is trash

-Black nutrition and cuisine is trash

-Black academia is trash

But keep pointing the finger at NBA Youngboy if it makes you feel righteous

:manny:

Hip hop is just one result of all the other toxic disfunction in our culture that everyone is too scared or invested in to critique.

The slave label "Black" is, never has and never will be a true authentic culture. Calling yourself "black" actually shows that you're void of culture and just lost and confused.

No land, language is historically associated with "black". At least from the vantage point of the actual people who are refered to as "black"

It's just a socially constructed term that Europeans created for their own personal caste system to refer to their slaves.

Just look up the root etymology of the word and you'll see why Caucasians call you "black" and themselves "white".

Ive said it before,in 2023 you will have make a choice.

1. Resign from your designation as being black

2. Deny everyone elses right to call themselves black.

There’s a lot messaging being sent out. That’s a subset of messages that he focuses on. There’s also Black people pushing financial freedom, family, health, education and being creatives. The problem is his focus is the streets and now he associate all Black people with a dysfunctional mentality. That’s just not the case.

Rap is easier to critique than let say wider socio-economic issues, Rap is at best a symptom of those issues.

What causes the disfunction, the fact that a lot of black people life in abject poverty caught in a perpetual poverty trap, life in underfunded neighbourhoods with underfunded schools, with barely any access to good jobs or healthy food.

Lot of self proclaimed pro-black people would have you believe that isn't the above but rap that is the issue.

"Drill" is one of the more negative things in our popular forms of entertainment.

People got it fukked up mixing mainstream culture with Black culture. That's a large part of why I look at that whole hip hop debate crazy.

It can be a PART of our culture but it's not THE culture :what:

The culture itself is Juneteenth, HBCUs, Your new years plate and vision boards, Soul Food, even our syncretisms in church... this is the same cat cussin some woman out in church tho :dead: Charleston is better off staying in character cause the "real" him, whatever it is, still ain't shyt
YEEEEEEEES!

Dawg.

Somehow, Hiphop culture became synonymous with Black culture.
That’s the damn problem!

We literally have to brainwash our masses through intense positive propaganda to set this straight.

Hiphop “culture” has to go. We actually have to stop referring to it as such.

Who else formed a “culture” around a music genre?? Black folks, we have been hoodwinked something serious.

Yeah man we need a total reset as a culture. Until then folks will keep attacking the symptoms and not the virus.
