How am I caping? :wtf:

I think he's gone regardless, but I think he could play well for all we know and they'll still lose because the teams they will face are better than them. The Jets are gonna be that team that looks good every week, but loses. It's like last year's Ravens where they lost every close game.

They're gonna do this every single season until the ghost of Tom Brady inhabits one of their annual picks and that's if they know how to develop a QB

If Geno starts this year at what point can we properly gauge his performance? The first two years it was the weapons and now the schedules too hard for us to get a clear picture. At some point yall need to be honest.

I'm :yeshrug:on Geno...

He inspires no optimism whatsoever but neither does the career journeyman Fitztragic...

We ain't doing nothing this season anyway so it is what it is...

We'll get a clear picture on what Geno can do provided he plays. I just think everyone has made up their mind on Geno to where it's impossible for him to win people over here besides win and I don't think the team is capable of that this season

I don't know what this is supposed to mean? Are you saying the Jets are better off with Fitz? Nah. You're not saying that. You're smarter than that. You want daps and reps, right? Negative. :umad:

I'm all about players trying to get their bread, but you're worth what the market says you're worth. Besides, Fitz showed what he was at the end of that year in the Buffalo game. Not one. Not two. Three back to back picks. He will never ever be more than a journeyman - backup type. The only reason he put up any types of stats was because of Gailey's system and Marshall/Decker. Geno played with no one and got to 8-8. Lets see what he does with real NFL caliber players. His upside >>> Fitz's

I bassically agree with this and am generally rooting for Geno as well

Our opinions have no influence over Bowles or Maccagnan.

For what its worth, in his one game last season against Oakland Geno didn't play bad...

2 TD's and 1 pick completing 64% of his passes...

I'll take that from him every Sunday...

Just went through the complete schedule, and I have us going 7-9 :manny:

And that's regardless of who's under center. Because unlike most Jets fans, I believe the difference between Geno and Fitz is marginal. I highly doubt anybody except for delusional Fitz lovers can honestly look at the schedule and say "Geno isn't good enough to beat this team, but Fitz is"

I think Fitzpatrick is about average to slightly below average depending on strength of schedule. I think Geno is a backup. So we're looking at a drop of about 15 slots imo. Fitzpatrick's season last year was hardly out of whack in the context of his career. He's hovered around slightly positive DVOA and DYAR the past 4 years- which would put him at about 18-20th overall in the league. Not great obviously, but with the market being what it is you could do worse. It's awfully difficult to even find average starters nowadays with the college systems being so simple.

Looking at this fairly, you kind of know what you'll be getting out of Fitz while you're risking Geno significantly improves. If we think that the scheudles too hard to win anyways then yeah just play Geno or the younger dudes and hope to grab the Clemson kid.

58% of Fitz passes were considered screens. He benefitted from scheme and his receivers period. The market saw it which is why he likely won't have any takers until a starter goes down somewhere.

Let's move on. He's a waste of snaps

Fitz has a taker and it's the Jets. There's just no takers at his current asking price, which Im guessing changes by Wednesday.
